Do you think Spence is ducking Bud? Or vice-versa? Or do you think the networks & & promoters are getting in the way?
Crawford lives in a cage under Bob Arum's desk, safe away from Spence or any real competition. Shawn Porter tried to break in last week and Bob Arum scared him away with a lowball sum of money to save Crawford.
I don't think either of them are ducking or scared they're two real fighters. I think they're either a bit deluded and think the fight is bigger than it is and are trying to let it marinate, or they know it's not that big and don't really want it as the risk outweighs the reward.
Yes, not saying he’s “scared” but the fight isn’t happening because Spence doesn’t want the fight, simple as that.
No ducks in this pond... If Spence can get the Pacquiao fight, which I think is what PBC wants, then that is best for him In parallel, Crawford and Top Rank need to work with Haymon and make a fight with Porter or Thurman
I think both sides are starting to figure out that this fight won’t be as big and known as it should. Spence might be the more self aware one here and I think that’s why he wants pac so bad. If I had pick to which one’s ducking though, I might go with the one who’s fighting the lower level opponents
Everybody trying to act like it's Crawford's fault cause don't nobody wanna fight him. I haven't heard Thurman. Danny, Pac, or Spence straight call him out. Porter showed interest but said a mil was to low, so did he want the fight or did he want the money. All the so called bad boys are over there in the house of Haymon and won't let the big bad wolf in. I can understand that because if he gets in there, he will definitely clean house. People say Crawford is fighting nobodies but if they can't see that the man possess a superior set of boxing skills, then they don't know boxing or just choose to hate on the man for their own personal reasons.
I don't think either fighter is scared of the other, there is no clear duck. Fact is there simply isn't enough interest or therefore money in this fight beyond the hardcore fans. How many PPV sales do you think it would do right now? 300-400K? Neither fighters promoter is going to risk their champion for so little, for them it's better just to milk the belts and hope some opportunity can emerge they can then cash in on like Spence/Canelo. I don't think this fight happens anytime soon unless something changes. If Crawford dumps Arum and is signed by PBC maybe that could make the fight happen as they may hope the winner will then break out and be a bigger draw than before but even that might be wishful thinking from me.
I do not blame him. If consider referee in fight Crawford vs Machine, Porter most likely might experience the same: no count for Crawford if he will go down. I do not claim that he didn't had defeated Machine if he had get a count. He still had achieved this but 1 mil is too low to fight with Crawford. Most likely you should KO him cold to win him. Only way.
Spence is ducking Crawford. He's made every excuse in the book. Very similar to Floyd w/ the whole Pacquiao thing. Spence says he doesn't need Crawford Spence says he's the A-side and needs 60/40 in his favor I believe Spence is made for Crawford stylistically and expect Crawford to dominate him or KO him. Crawford's trainer said Thurman is a tougher fight and that Spence would be easy.
Why not if Spence does have 2 belts and Crawford 1 belt? Of course now you will claim that belts does not matter anything and then if you will do this, never and ever post: such guy does have or did had this or this belt. It will be fair from you.
Well, it doesn't because Crawford is generally rated much higher P4P, the consensus #1 at 147, and it's one of the biggest fights in boxing, if not the biggest.
If he is sure that he win, he might take these 40% and after he will have not 1 but 3 belts he might choose some 2-3 notable names to fight with and get to become big name in boxing history. Not alone that if he will defeat Spence and with 3 belts he definitely might have better paychecks for future fights too.
Bud is deluded in thinking it should be a 50/50 split. The only reason for asking so much is because he knows hes getting wrecked & wants the cash out $$$.
