You'd have to say Terrell got the best of that, but it's quality how every now and again Liston hits him with a beezer to keep him from gaining control  Fun watching Liston box on the backfoot, which he does here for spells.

Yeah. I believe they had this one in 1966. Terrell was at his peak and Liston was quite obviously on the downhill of his career. Still a fair showing by Liston though, I thought.

I'll see. I buy from Woller, a guy on the forum here who is from Denmark. I buy from other sources 2, but I'll see if I can get my hands on. I have pretty limited finances though so it could be a while until I could get a hold of those fights, provided I can find someone to buy them from.

I just checked the full catalog of fights that I have from Woller. Neither of those fights is on there. I'm afraid I don't know any other sites that would have those. Hang on, I'll check dynamiteboxing, although I have never bought anything from them myself.

Couldn't find it on dynamite either. Sorry :(. My last try would be ringwise.com, if you're adventurous.

    GREAT FIGHT.

I felt that the SD in LaStarza's favour should have been a wide UD in his favour. He's gone up in my estimation. He fed Layne a ton of jabs and 1-2s and worked much better in the clinch. I could see Roland do well in most eras and Layne maybe not so much. He's a good boxer for sure.

If there’s any film of Barbados Boston Tom McMustache — the one from Philly, not Original Boston Tom McMustache (the one born in Nova Scotia who fought out of Arizona) — we all need to see that.

This was Nov 1961 on the undercard of Giardello-Jesse Smith. The card was promoted by Irving Schoenwald as a benefit for mentally disabled children. Liston was forced to wear headgear by the Teleprompter corporation which was broadcasting his upcoming double header with Albert Westphal packaged with Patterson-McNeeley to prevent him from getting cuts that would postpone the card. 16 ounce gloves were used.

Wow what a close fight. Could have gone either way like I’ve read about it. Wouldn’t want to be a judge for that fight. What a great gift this is thanks again. Onto Bonavena fight tonight lol
