A good win for Garcia, whilst he undoubtedly has star quality he also holds his chin in the air and is an accident waiting to happen at top level.

He reminds me somewhat of Paul " Scrap Iron " Ryan , albeit a better version.

I think Luke should now call it a day.
He’s by no means finished he’s still a good fighter who can compete with the best it’s just now there’s probably nowhere to go.
He’s 33 he doesn’t want to end up as a stepping stone or “opponent” to young up and comers.
He’s been a credit to himself and his family.

the knockdown reminded me massively of the Amir Khan - Prescott knockout, and i definetly saw similarities like yourself.

I thought Garcia was decent enough, but nothing special in all honesty.

His theatrics after winning where beyond pathetic as well, straddling his team mates like a woman, WTF was that about.

No belief that he could win going into the ring, no killer instinct and simply a British level fighter at pro level hyped up by Eh Day Hearn.

A smaller version of Big Fraudley with a nice boy image and the Mismatchrom/Sly spin machine behind him convincing those previous PPV mugths that he was the next Lomachenko.

Will be a good fighter to watch but if Powder Puff Campbell puts him down then it looks like Shades of Amir Khan for his career.

To be fair to Smith he was fighting an established elite fighter currently levels above this lad last night.

A few things that i seemed to notice
I thought luke looked as tho he might not of done the weight right, he seemed slightly bloated in the skin. He seemed to be a bit over his normal fighting weight. In not sure, maybe it was just the lighting but it did strike me.
Another thing was he looked a bit tense in there. there was no flow to him, he looked less tense when he fought Loma, I thought.
Also I expected a bit more movement, especially lay backs and slips. As well as foot movent.,even his pawing with the lead hand wasn't the same as it usually is. It was more tense.
Maybe Luke felt his age a bit or he struggled with the weight But he didn't fight quite the way I expected or thought he would.
Not sure where he goes from here. He's had a good career both as a pro and more notably as a amateur. Hasn't been promoted as well as I expected but all in, has made some £.
He hurt Garcia in the 2nd and maybe he should of put his foot down. I know that someone can still be dangerous in that situation but looking at the bigger picture sometimes you got to take a gamble, which is what he was doing by going over to fight Garcia in the states, in the first place.

No killer instinct - that knockdown was an open goal in football terms and he should have thrown the kitchen sink at him.

No chance of getting a decision unless Eh Day brought three Terry O'Connors across with him.

Apart from that punch, Campbell looked happy just to take part in Garcia's circus with no belief that he could win.

It may be down to Luke Campbell being a great boxer though, who has the pedigree to give anyone a tough night, so Luke’s skills negated a lot, but not all, of Garcia’s work. But, with that said, Garcia did find a fight ending punch, and looked, to me, like he was getting on top of Luke. I liked how Garcia handled the knockdown and came through.
What a great fight it was. Credit to both lads. Boxing fans win again.

So you expect him to land every shot of every round? You expect Smith to stand with his hands by his side not protecting his face? The facts are he outpointed Smith in almost every round with scoring shots. It was a boxing masterclass from Canelo a view that is backed up by virtually every pundit, fighter and journalist in the game.

I don't think we'll see Garcia in with anyone too dangerous for the next 2 to 3 years. Shame.

Callum Johnson did great, only fought 1 round in 2 years, and did his father proud, against Beterbiev who many feel is unbeatable at 175.

Only 5 British World Champions now, but in 2021 I see Okolie, Eubank, Ryder, Catteral and Sunny Edwards picking up World Titles, and one of Jazza Dickens and Kid Galahad.

Was there a reason Campbell didnt pounce on Garcia and try and knock him out after the round 2 knockdown? It seems inexcusable to me and Campbell missed a huge opportunity. Am I missing something?
