135-154lbs and he would not be big at 154lbs 135lbs coming into the ring at 150lbs 140lbs coming into the ring at 153lbs 147lbs coming into the ring at 155lbs 154lbs coming into the ring at 158lbs
Good post Pat. Surely bone structure and density count into this, but by how much? I mean, you would never see Canelo at 130, but then you see some lanky guys all the way down at 126. I think 126lbs is a bit too far for SRR, personally, but I can see him beginning at 130lbs early or fighting for his first title there.
This is an interesting article. According to this article, most people are about 60% water. And, according to the article, muscle contains more water than fat, so muscular people can probably cut more water weight than less muscular people. Some think that athletes like Hagler, Hearns, etc. couldn't cut weight because of their low fat content, apparently, having low body fat is helpful in cutting water weight. Some of the items mentioned in the article are, "The percentage of water in the body varies slightly, depending on factors such as age and sex, but is usually within the 45-70% range. There is more water in lean muscle than there is in fatty tissue. Typically, a female body contains a lower percentage of water than a male one. This is due to females having a higher percentage of fat. This water distribution means that people with a higher percentage of body fat are likely to have a lower percentage of water in their bodies." https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/what-percentage-of-the-human-body-is-water
In real life, he was boiling down to 146 1/2 pounds at his peak (mid-late'40s), and fighting around 150-155. with an early weighin, he'd make 140, and get in the ring at 155 maybe. 135 would be a struggle, but within the realm of possibilities. Yes, he did weigh 135 or less in his early fights, but he was 19 years old. At his peak, age 25-28, he was filled out to a legit 150+ fighter.
He'd go where the money is anyway. He'd do the same divisions as Mayweather did, at least. And probably do middleweight as well.
You guys take this weigh-in **** too far. Walker Smith would have never been a feather weight in any era. TF is going on???
He'd start at WW and move all the way to SMW. Anyway, there's no way he'd ever fight below 130. Even 130 is way too skinny given his weight. He'd look like an anorexic about to die. Early on he'd be around 140, then bulk up all the way to around 165
Today he would beat the living tar out of anyone from SMW and below so he would go wherever he felt like it he is SRR. He would make mince meat out of May and Pac in the same career on the way up as well as beating up on GGG and Canelo as a middle aged man LOL
