Oscar really only has Ryan, Munguia, and Ortiz in his stable that can feasibly become marketable superstars.

Is Oscar just sacrificing Munguia or does he think Golovkin has slipped enough for Munguia's youth to overcome?

The scorecards are already filled 118-110 munigia if he survives. As ggg I would never ever fight a golden boy fighter after the robbing of his legacy

its a good gamble, if munguia wins his star power gets a massive boost overnight, if he loses they can chalk it up to inexperience, moving up in weight, etc. . Golovkin doesnt have much options for fights so he will probably accept whatever de la hoya offers

The answer is obviously #2. Just as it was when he unlocked all the heavy duty latches on the specially designed Kazakhstani-proof state of the art electrified chicken coop his golden goose or rather golden chicken Clenelo had been cowering in fear in in a puddle of his own Clenbuterol-laced urine when a closer to prime GGG was on the prowl.

He’s looking to catch what he thinks is an aging Golovkin but honestly I think he’s got 1 great performance left on him at least. Think golovkin mentally breaks mungaia when he realises he can’t walk through him and makes the corner pull him out after 9

A one-sided drubbing, if it takes place. Munguia has progressed but not enough to contend with even a 39-year-old Golovkin. It sells well, however. I want GGG to fight Charlo, Andrade, Derevyanchenko, or even Murata before bothering with Munguia.

yeah i think old golovkin is still too much for him, mung is not defensive enough or fast enough. He's going to get caught with something, and GGG still punches hard.

Eddie Hearn went to Dazn to try make GGG vs Andrade.
He has go directly to Dazn cos he knows its like pulling teeth trying to get Golovkin to fight a live body.

I get it that Golovkin is old, but I still think he crushes Munguia.

the only possible fights out of that list are jacobs rematch and ryder, which are both of a much lesser profile. Charlo , plant are pbc fighters. Beterbiev and bivol are way up north, saunders and ramirez career are in limbo, andrade is impossible to negotiate with.

    What?!

If GGG wants a challenge he has all those options. DAZN and PBC have worked together before. Saunders and Ramirez are also great options, and Andrade is with DAZn, just like GGG.

Golovkin will probably tenderize Mungia for 6-7 rounds with the jab and start trying to pound him out by 9-10. JM needs better defense before he jumps into the ring with G.

Honestly, G needs to be fighting Charlo or Andrade. I person don't see why he isn't calling these guys out.

    I can see his angle.

The kid is very beatable and very possibly isnt good enough to become a star, better to find out against an old and faded Golovkin in a big fight then get upset by some unknown fighter and lose out on the current hype. Win or lose, if he fights with heart he will be more known after the fight anyway and is young enough to rebuild.
