The two of them made the fight with no audience and no PPV and so they both deserve credit even if they've fallen short of gallantry in the aftermath.

Kombosos isn't the #1 most desired matchup, but Nakatani, Commey, Loma, and Kombosos is a tough run this early in his career. Garcia just stepped up, Haney is still a level below in opposition, neither Lopez nor Loma (or Campbell for that matter) have earned criticism on matchmaking.

You realize that's because Loma felt like he needed to sell out, and go for a KO, which requires a fighter to take risks right? If he starts working 6 rounds earlier in a rematch, he won't be in that kind of desperate situation.

Loma's fault for not having a rematch clause because he thought Teo was a walk in the park. Teo now has all the belts and the doors open for bigger match ups than a rematch, Loma can make a statement by fighting Haney.

You gotta give Teo credit for making adjustments as well. Loma made an adjustment then Teo made his. That's what makes a rematch so appealing. If Loma starts sooner, which Teo already knows Loma will do, what does Teo have up his sleeve. Loma can't afford too many rounds like the 12th. Also, curious to see how the shoulder is.

No, Teo didn't make any adjustments, Loma just got sloppy while going all out, and Teo landed a good shot.

hahahaha man I watch this exact channel with my 1-year old all the time hahaha

Anyway, back on topic. IMO it wasn't exactly a shutout and Loma did make it competitive the second half of the fight. Of course, Lopez has every right to do whatever but most know a rematch won't be the same. In that sense, yeah, it's a duck...kinda...

If he fights Haney/Garcia/Davis or Taylor/Ramirez/Prograis at 140 next then it's fine. Anyone else is a duck.

Round 12 was fairly close; Lopez was getting tagged a bunch as well. Lopez basically won the round in the last 30 seconds when he landed a big shot that Loma took very well.

If he is sure that he will won rematch, he might offer this to Loma until Loma had get that he really is small for 135 and didn't moved to 130. Lopez most likely isn't able to make 130 lbs limit.
Lomo vs Lopez II might be sold pretty well, most likely not worse than Lomo vs Lopez I.
Lopez now does have these belts therefore will get lion share from purse too.

Loma whoops him in a rematch, he felt him and figured him out as the fight went on, only spells trouble for the rematch

Loma has said everything from 'I was hurt' to 'corrupt judges' so I don't blame Teo for telling Loma to kick rocks.
