Not really the purpose of the sticky i'm afraid. You can see that the stickies here are big community projects rather than one guy's articles.

Great peice about 2 fighters I really love alot. It's a shame Lopez never won a belt. Tough as leather and a gentleman to boot. Matter of fact they both were. Mathew is one of the very toughest men I ever had the pleasure of watching. God bless them both

Matthew Saad Muhammad was one of the few men I wish I would have met in person, a great human being and champion.

And moreover, he got it right. There is no God but Allah (pbuh).

I always have believed that everyone has the right to believe in the God that they worship. I am Roman Catholic. I respect everyone's religious beliefs.

    Quick story @Richard M Murrieta
When Matt was Champ back when I was in High school my Pop asked if I wanted to go to a hardware store with him one weekend and I passed.
Dont you know it he ran into Matt! He did get a small signed peice of paper that Matt made out to me which i still have. I'm pissed to this day when i think about it. At this time is When Matt had bought a house in a suburb of Jenkintown which was about 6 miles away.

    Nice read

It was Lopez's 4th title shot though

The 5th and last was against Carlos DeLeon at CW.

You're right that Saad's biggest asset was his heart.

As Steve Farhood opined in 1979....

The only thing that can make Saad reach his goal of becoming the best LHW in history is his heart.

The jab is hard but hardly artistic.

The power is constant but others wield the same.

The defense is porous and the tissue around his eyes leaks like wet tissue paper.

But his heart is the size of a turnbuckle and it anchors his title reign.

With an indomitable will who knows how long a bleeding heart can last.

Note: I may be mixing together parts of more than one Farhood epistle but you get the idea.
