"Five years left and that's basically an Olympic cycle. I've got an Olympic cycle and a little bit more left, so when you see the next Olympics happen is when I'll be coming to the end of my career and the next generation will be coming through." AJ stated in the Mirror today, how many times will AJ have lost by that time, will he retire as champ?

    AJ is a mental midget

When he 's not talking nonsense & platitudes he will dig holes that show he is mentally fragile

I honestly believe we're going to see some weird weird things from him if they ever stick Fury in front of him. He isn't going to know how to act.

He might actually cry and break down for real.

    Golota Tyson style.

    Oliver McCall Lennox Lewis style.

You see it when he gets hurt or gasses out, a goofy smile of defeat falls across his face.

Charr will probably still be WBA champion in five years.

I don't pay much attention to boxers' retirement predictions. Really, I think most boxers need to retire so they can start coming back.

AJ will be 36 in 5 years and may have picked up more losses too by then.

Ah yes AJ is the mentally fragile mental midget and not the man who makes up stories about wanting to drive off a bridge for publicity.

In its mildest form, depression can mean just being in low spirits. It doesn't stop you leading your normal life but makes everything harder to do and seem less worthwhile. At its most severe, depression can be life-threatening because it can make you feel suicidal.

Agreed with those who say that mentally he Is not a rock. As I said in other threads he has a good chin...his big problem Is his low mental resistance. If punched he tends to enter early a state of confusion (even if he Is not over as Wilder). See with Ruiz, even with Pulev. But however I think if he wins against Fury on three matches he could retire as the best of his generation...if he wants to be a legend instead he should defend the titles at least as Lewis imo

Not sure where all the hate for AJ comes from.

For a boxer, to me,the guy is refreshingly humble.

Handled the Ruiz loss as well as one could have in my opinion. I dont think he gets enough credit for going right after Ruiz for his next fight after losing. Pretty gutsy considering another loss would have permanently derailed his career. It's not AJs fault that Ruiz came in to the fight looking like he didnt train for the second go around.

Like I said, AJ and Fury will pass the mantle onto the conveyor belt of young talented Brit Level HW beasts we've got coming up who are being groomed to replace them when they grow bored of dominating. He's just being selfless and thinking about the future of British boxing and us maintaining our iron grip on the throne of the HW division.

Who do you reckon, if any, will take their heir in Britain.

Joe Joyce will retire similar time if not before Joshua and Fury. Best ones are:
    - Daniel Dubois
    - Fabio Wardley
    - Hughie Fury
Then, the ones yet to make their debut:
    - Jonny Fisher
    - Solomon Dacres

Don't forget Frazer Clarke either. I like Wardley and Hughie has a cast-iron gypsy mandible and I'm not writing Dubois off.

Fisher's a unit and looks powerful and explosive and like Wardley and Clarke is a very likeable chap. There are other young Brit Level studs still plying their trade in the amateurs too who will be turning over within the next 2-5 years.

Joshua won’t be around in 3 years, Fury might be or he might have felt he’s accomplished everything an be gone sooner, but Joshua’s retiring after he fights Fury, whenever that is.
