Why do people call Conor Mcgregor a chicken/coward for tapping out?

Legendary fighters who have tapped out

Fighters tap out all the time
-GSP the GOAT tapped to strikes
-Rampage Jackson tapped to a choke from Jones
-Dustin Porier tapped

In most cases, and especially with Conor against Khabib, theres two options, tap, or risk getting a permanent injury or having your jaw shattered and losing your career.

So why is tapping to a choke considered chicken or cowardly? And why do people only call Conor a chicken for tapping when many other top elite fighters have done it?

I think Khabib started it by telling the reporters "Beginning of year he tap like chicken, end of year he fight for title", and thats where the whole Conor McChicken nickname started.

Also probably because he taunts so many opponents now they tease him back?

Because against Khabib the choke wasn't even under the neck, it was a neck crank and who taps to a neck crank ? It was pathetic. Against Nate"DIVA" Diaz he was gased and stunned and dove at his legs for a takedown (the same diving at the legs that he criticises fighters like Khabib for doing) and extremely easily gave up the choke. Didn't even try to defend it.

Yeah but you have to consider a few things
-He was rocked in round 2, and had his face pounded for 1 minute straight
-He has very bad cardio and gases easily
-It was round 4, he was probably exhausted
-Even if he magically got out of the choke, do you think he would realistically turn the tables around? I think he was finished and he knew it

But yeah, I think he tapped too quick. He could of at least made an attempt to fight it off or at least wait a few more seconds. I think he would gain more respect if he went out cold but he risked permanent injury

That crank was more like over his mouth than his neck. Maybe it felt like his jaw was about to break.

It's probably from all his pretalk like he is some unbeatable superman. Plus taking on Donald the Diver Cowboy at a higher weight to avoid the other top 4 in the LW division to earn a title shot.
There is rumblings the next fight will be for the title which would be a joke. 2 guys that were obliterated by the guy that vacates.
Should at least make it the winner of this fight v winner of Charles and Justin for the title.

But whats the point in getting chocked out tho?
Once you go limp, the next time it will happen even faster.
