He looked kinda Canelo-esque against Breazzele.. Dom was poor but the sharp shooting with precise precision was impressive He executed a tactical gameplan and displayed a good ring IQ against Povetkin. I think AJ could be developing a very good ring IQ on the level of Froch and Tony Bellew This content is protected
I'm w/ Boxing2019 on this one. After getting stopped by fatso Andy, he danced his way to a UD against even fatter, tub of lard Ruiz Stuff of legends
He doesn't have any dominant wins over top opposition. This vulnerability is part of the reason he's a box office draw. This is definitely the reason Tyson Fury is justly rated above him.
You didn’t think Fury looked a little vulnerable picking himself up off the deck a couple of times against Wilder?
Fury has two wins over top opposition in which he looked completely in control for the entirety of the fight. Joshua has none. It's a huge distinction.
His true great legacy defining fight and best performances was Wlad He would need to best a Wilder or Fury to beat that. In impressive fashion (and it would have to be) Although he has beaten three other champions in Martin, Parker and Ruiz 2 those are tier 2 in terms of level of opponent.
Its probably Pulev isn't it. Whyte and Wlad rocked him. Ruiz stopped him. His wins over Parker, Ruiz, Takem etc. were effective but incredibly boring. Pulev is the only decent guy he's fought who lost virtually every round AND got brutally stopped. I guess you could say Brezeale too but i don't rate him at all.
I do give him respect, he would be the dominant heavyweight of this era if Fury wasn't here. Fury is very special though. Once in a lifetime type fighter. An AJ comes around every 10 years.
