It never occurred to me to look it up. I know Louis at heavy with 25, but who has it regardless of weight?

For the sake of the thread, ABC titles will count, and unifications are title defenses.

    Thanks.

Ricardo Lopez defended his minimumweight belt 22 times. He then moved up and won the IBF 108lb belt, which he defended 3 times.

Omar Narvaez had 27 a total of defences, where he only lost once when he moved up to 118 (Donaire L12), resumed at 115 until he got demolished by Gojira Inoue (KO2).

16 at Lt. Welter for a total of 27, which ties him with Narvaez for first place.

Louis still holds the record for consecutive defenses at 25.

Virgil Hill has a how many? A lot of people don't consider him great, but he sure is up there. I think he has 29 title fights. Defenses? I am not sure. I think 24 or 25. I think he is underrated a bit if we look at numbers. He was not exciting, but he was efficient.

You're right... there were some challenges, which I mistakingly counted as defenses. So the number is 27, as you correctly point out.
