I know it’s been talked about before but now it seems to be hotting up.

Providing Eubank can still make Middleweight it's a good fight, I think Eubank is too strong, too quick. If Liam Smith can beat Williams convincingly I can't see Eubank not doing the same thing.

Eubank has mixed it with fighters who hit harder than Williams and fighters who are better skilled than Williams.

I'll take Williams. Why do people continue to rate Eubank?

Williams looks a different fighter since moving up in weight and moving to Ingle. Still need to see how he overcomes some serious adversary but he hits pretty hard and I'd honestly fancy him to do Eubank over.

I fancy Eubank but could go either way. Eubank's conditioning gives him a chance in fights and I just think he'll be busier than Williams.

Does he though? im not so sure. The best version of Williams i have seen was in the first Smith fight.

Williams is the better boxer and his punch power is at least as good as Eubanks .

After the Smith loss William's has improved so much in all areas, whereas after Eubanks loses he just seems to continue in the same manner without any real changes.

Apart from great fitness and endurance I think Williams is better in every department.

    Williams on points

One of those fights which we would all love to see (like Ryder vs Eubank Jr.) but which sadly will probably never happen.

If it did in the short term, I would pick the current version of Williams to beat an inactive and overconfident Eubank Jr.

I watched the highlights of Eubank Jr. Degale recently. As much as Liam Williams is an improved fighters if there was a list of fighters who have NOT improved since their early career Eubank Jr. would be close to the top of that list. He's still so crude and predictable in setting up his attacks, his judgement of range is still poor, lunges a lot, misses wildly too often and just displays a really low level of ability for someone fighting at the level he is at. Worth mentioning that this was against a Degale who physically and mentally was barely there!

Work rate and conditioning will only go so far against someone who is also very well conditioned and has a good work rate plus good power and much better ability- Williams has all of those things.

I think Williams was COMPREHENSIVELY beaten by Smith in the second fight and in the first he was fading. Now he’s moved up he does look a different animal however there’s no big wins unless you want to say Fox?

Liam Williams has got it all to prove so I’d have to (slightly) favour Eubank.

Good, fan friendly fight. I'd pick Eubank Jr to do it by late stoppage.

William's will get a shot at the vacant belt though wont he? So dont see this happening.

Williams is a level above ability wise. Williams is now fighting to his full potential at middleweight with Ingle, dedicated full time.

Eubank Jr does have two losses you know too.

Groves 'comprehensively' beat Eubank Jr, then in his very next fight Groves supposedly was completely shot and over the hill, so by that logic Eubank Jr got beat easily by a past it Groves

Williams was beaten handily by Liam Smith. At present there is no indication that Williams can go beyond domestic level because he was beaten by a Euro/fringe world level fighter in Smith.

Contrast that with Eubank who wiped out the domestic scene at MW, nearly killing Nick Blackwell in the process. He totally destroyed Tom Doran and Spike O'Sullivan who were decent domestic fighters. He has proven he is clearly beyond domestic level.

Not to mention, Eubank has been respectable and also impressive on occasion at European SMW level, falling short in a world title fight to Groves.

All the evidence when you look objectively is stacked in Eubank's favour. Williams has indeed looked very good since training with Dom Ingle against totally under matched opponents bar Mark Heffron. But who here is going to argue that Eubank wouldn't destroy Heffron himself?

On what planet is Williams a "level above"? Eubank has hung in there with legit world champions like Saunders and Groves. Outboxed at times yes but he gave both a very hard fight. Then destroyed an albeit faded Degale easily.

Williams has never boxed at world level and was comprehensively beaten by a fringe world level fighter in Liam Smith at a lighter weight.

There's no evidence at all that Williams is on another level to Eubank. He may be more skilled but how many times have we seen a more skilful boxer beaten in the ring?
