They both got stopped. The damage to Vitali's head was caused by Lemmie's fists. Your guys biggest career achievement is winning 3/4 rounds before being stopped by an old under prepared and shot to bits Lewis.
That's a good way of saying it. Personally I think that fight was either 3-3 or 4-2 for Vitali. But even if VK had won more rounds, he most certainly wasn't winning the fight. VK vs Holyfield...physically Vitali has a lot of advantages and maybe he would win the fight, but Holyfield would make him work for it for every minute of every round. Unless he had a reemergence of his heart issues.
He was still winning the fight. Getting cut and getting knocked out are completely different things. It’s pretty pathetic that in every thread about him you VK haters won’t stop talking about a cut
He was winning the early rounds. Thats not winning the fight. The only person who keeps going on about a cut like a broken record is you... Its like you can't understand why Lewis won
I understand that Lewis won, but you make it seem like Lewis was dominating vitali even though he was losing every round. If you’ve seen vitali you’d know he’d be keeping that same paste all 12 rounds. Also the broken records are the people that go on every Vitali thread just to bring up the cut.
VK's cut is more relevant to the result of the fight than what the scorecards looked like after 6 rounds. The fact you and the rest of the VK-Huggers try to wring mileage from the judges scores, which had no bearing whatsoever on the result of the fight (a stoppage win for Lewis), is what is truly pathetic here.
Totally agree. He punched half his face off yet the same old recycled trash comes up every time. It's as if cutting someone absolutely to ribbons isn't a legit way to win a ****ing fight
This is why they have 12 round championship fights. To determine who boxes the better over those 12 rounds than the opponent. If one boxer inflicts an injury, legitimately and within the rules, over another within those 12 rounds so severe that he cannot continue, then that boxer wins. Vitlai was a fine fighter and was doing well but was ultimately beaten. The same can be said about many fighters having good early rounds yet didnt win their fight. It was a 12 round fight not a 6 round fight. Oh, and lewis was 1 step away from being completely shot by then imo, but thats another debate
He was winning by 2 points. Vitali was hurt at the end of the 6th round. Nobody knows how the fight would have ended
