Luiz Ortiz is the boogeyman of the heavyweight division

Exactly, is everyone supposed to be afraid of him because he looks good against bums or what. He was knocked out twice by the weakest link of the top 3 and is old as hell now. This thread was 100% started by a wilder fanboy

 

When I clicked, I thought this was a thread from 2016/17.

Also, saying he has good "size" is debatable. He is well over listed at 6'4'' and he'd need to be around 225lbs to be lean. Didn't Ortiz compete at heavyweight in amateur boxing, i.e. cruiserweight?

It's funny how people say Usyk is too small, yet we have people around like Ortiz and Andy Ruiz (who could certainly make cruiserweight if lean) at the highest levels of heavyweight boxing.

He couldnt counter Wilder yet can counter AJ who is a very good counter puncher. Better than Fury in that aspect

Ortiz is a myth. His best opponents were average American level heavyweights, which when you consider that aside from Wilder the USA haven't had a top 5 heavyweight in 15 years is no big deal.

His amateur career was nothing to sing and dance about, he lost to Mike Perez and that cruiserweight that Kingpin just knocked out.

He consistently avoids fighting those that offer him a big fight like Whyte and AJ and says the money wasn't enough and then fights Rydell Booker for 200k.

 

His stamina is garbage. His punch resistance is garbage. His best win is Jennings.
He is not even the best HW over 50. Povetkin is.

 

Luis Ortiz has a terribly weak resume, with only ONE win over a top 25 heavyweight (Bryant Jennings).

He's very overrated.

You better rewatch the Wilder fights. Not sure what you're talking about. He countered Wilders head off and won arguably 10-12 rounds against him from the completed 15 rounds. You're talking bull**** dude. Ortiz is a world class counter puncher who is also a southpaw. The stiff Juiceua never faced a real counter puncher with a sharp jab and good footwork. But man i'm talking to AJ fangirls here...it's completly useless to discuss with little fangirls about that.
