I didn't even notice he tried to prop up Smith going 12 with Tyson as some sort of feat. He clinched enough times to make Wladmir Klitschko look like Joe Frazier.

Intellectual dishonesty at it's finest. When you have to use THAT fight to prop up a boxer's credentials you are really grasping at straws.

LOL @ "Smith is the guy who was posting results."

Following his one and only win of note, against a disillusioned and capitulating Witherspoon, Smith failed to post a 'W' in 4 straight bouts, from March '87 to July '89; culminating in his getting sparked by Ruddock (in a bout that Gil Clancy described as, "Just two guys, standing flat-footed, in front for each other." - Not a good plan for Ruddock, against Foreman).

Beyond this, Smith didn't go anywhere.

It amuses me that there are grown adults who think the one sided ass kicking that Bonecrusher handed Witherspoon was Don King's fault,

    But...but...but...Tim said so!

Already addressed this. You're being dishonest out of thr love you have for a bald man who conned the public with a wholesome persona.

Actually, Smith said so, as well.

 Making up some 'pretend facts' to comfort yourself with, I see.

No surprise there, since 'actual facts' seem to be too much for you to deal with.

    Source and quote.

Maybe Don King knocked Tim's tooth out.

Ruddock gets built up immensely by big Tyson fans in an effort to prop up Mike while at the same time proclaiming Tyson was no good from post Rooney until retirement. We are told Razor was immediately washed up after the two Tyson fights from the punishment Tyson gave him and this is why Lennox Lewis blasted him out in 2 easy rounds. This is critical to both take credit away from Lewis who obviously vastly overshadowed Mike's efforts and to prop up the Tyson victories. The first was considered by many to be a premature stoppage and an immediate rematch was fought. Ruddock was on his feet and firing at the end.

The truth is Razor wasn't as good as many thought and hoped he was going to be. Sure he was big and hit hard and was quite a dangerous guy but he was limited and basically a one handed fighter who telegraphed his only trick. His biggest moments were two exciting brawls with a post unbeaten Tyson who had become sloppy comparative to previous years. I've seen people (usually Tyson fans) pick him to beat Holyfield at times which is pretty funny.

A guy this basic wasn't going to get past even a declined version of Tyson and nor IMO would he beat old Foreman. Stevie Wonder could see his punches coming and Foreman had a brick of a jaw regardless. Foreman also paced himself well and threw straighter more economical punches. Ruddock had an average mandible and Foreman was going to get to it.

Just because Foreman avoided some difficult fights doesn't mean he wouldn't have won some of them. The guy was all business second career.

A poll would have been good on this thread.

Your penchant for pretending Smith said Witherspoon took a dive because of Don King knows no bounds.

    Very well put, JT.

Ruddock gets variable treatment, depending on which side of a debate is being put forward. But, while he could be dangerous, he was, as you suggest, effectively one-handed and wasn't all that hard to work out.

Old Foreman was still more dangerous and much harder to shift than Ruddock.
