Absolutely. I tipped @IntentionalButt off about this fight because irregardless of the fight sport it was a high level striking affair. If you don't respect the best strikers in MMA you aren't a fight fan.
Max Holloway looked the best he ever looked, even more than the Ortega fight. The pump fakes, changing levels with this striking, the shot selection. Even his defensive head movement looked pretty good at spots. Did you see when Holloway slipped Kattar's right hand by slipping his head to his left and immediately countering that a right high kick? That's stuff that you usually only see high, high-level kickboxers pull off. I'm using a bit of hyperbole but he looked like a rajaram stadium muay thai fighter when he had Kattar against the cage and was battering him elbows. Beautiful body work. Not that many kicks, but every one that he threw was well timed and accurate and did significant damage. The spinning back kicks, the roundhouse body kick when Katar was near the cage, and the high kicks all took a serious tole combined with the unrelenting combinations. The double-jab right hand. Roundhouse right hands to the body. The left hook to the body. Everything was working for him tonight. You can't let Holloway get momentum on you because he's a pure rhythm fighter. There's a reason that McGregor was constantly using front leg side kicks to his knee/thigh to keep him from going forward and constantly offset his momentum. Volkanovski did the same thing with leg kicks in their first fight and moving in and out to break up his flow. Holloway's cardio rivals Frankie Edgar and the Diaz brothers. He just does not slow down. Very impressive fight from Max.
Fair enough but Catter was poor, he couldn`t deal with Max`s reach, Max`s jab kept getting him and he was too fast, Catter can`t get into positions as quick as top boxers can, he just couldn`t get off and his corner gave him no good boxing advice at all.

If you actually watched the fight a bit more carefully you saw Max switching stances at times and giving Kattar no rythm and angles with his footwork.
WOW we got that fight prediction wrong. Amazing performance from Holloway. Incredible cardio and volume and Kattar showed he is as tough as nails. You can't argue that Holloway has earned another crack at the belt.
