Tyson`s offensive footwork was insane, which heavyweight had footwork that could compete with a prime Tyson`s footwork?

Floyd Patterson is comparable by nature of their styles but it’s a tad devolved in comparison but that is of course due to the nature of the relation.

As far as heavyweight champs Charles, Louis, Jersey Joe and Patterson were exceptional. A lot of folks wrongly associate footwork with just speed and movement. Too me, having great footwork is not just about movement but also about always being in control of your balance. Lots of folks don't think of Louis when it comes to footwork but look at how he always had a strong base and was never off balance. It was because of his excellent footwork.

His footwork wasn`t all that in that Tyson fight, they both looked sloppy.

Joe Louis, Alexis Arguello, and Ricardo Lopez are great examples.

Nup. Busters footwork was a huge part of what won him the fight.

I couldn't believe how swift and efficient he was especially given he was a big man. I readily accept Tyson was half a step off but Douglas was on point with his footwork.

The man looked incredible. He was quick, agile, nimble and looked like Maradona on the pitch in 1986. I wonder what his astrological placement and star alignment were that night.

All he did was skip back a bit from time to time, Tyson wasn`t using the pundulem step etc.
