    Another purely hypothetical matchup:

who wins if this happens next? Can Hunters athleticism and movement defeat the rather more static but sturdy Ortiz? Or will Ortiz be too much for the undersized Hunter?

Hunter coming off better activity, Ortiz looking for another scalp to put him back into contention for the final time.
    Thoughts?

who is the real HW Boogeyman?

I think Hunter deal with him pretty easily, just to quick of hands and footwork, too aggressive and tough for Ortiz. Expect Hunter to stop Ortiz early to mid rounds.

Yeah. I went for Hunter. I personally think he’s the danger man of the division - his aggression, work rate, and fearless nature make him a real handful. Will his size work against him when in with the giants? Maybe - but it could also be the X factor that allows him to get the upsets.

not many clamoring to fight him that’s for sure. Would like to see him get an eliminator type fight soon.

Yes. The work the Hunter did vs Pov outshines anything Ortiz has ever done.
I have no idea why Wilder gains such a fanbase and Hunter (who in my eyes it the US #1 Heavy) gets far little following.
Hunter would be hard work for any heavyweight for the reasons you gave, and certainly wouldnt fold like a wet paper towel in front of Fury.

Hunter beats Ortiz to the punch everytime and Ortiz slows down later making it look easy.
The KO for me is a reach too far, but easy points victory for "The Bounty Hunter"

I see Hunter teeing off on him at some stage, up close looking to take the old boy out. I think he gets the stoppage

    Hunter points

Hunter is too quick for Ortiz and Ortiz will be out worked. The later rounds I expect Hunter to be cruising as Ortiz isnt able to do more than 6 rounds without completely losing his shape and gassing badly.

Ortiz is way too old now. Would’ve been a different story 5-6 years ago.

I just looked this up, apparently Hunter fought a few weeks ago? Untelevised, not even the main event.

    What's the deal with that?

currently, Hunter. I'm not sure if Hunter beats the version that beat Jennings.

Hunter would beat Ortiz, possibly by stoppage. Povetkin is better than Ortiz.
