Kid Galahad Jazza Dickens 2 for the vacant belt it is then.

Warrington won't go to America to fight Russell, I think he will fight Can Xu next.

Good to see a governing body putting their foot down. IBF the best by far these days.

Given up a belt to fight a nobody then potentially for a regular belt. Look forward to Hearn trying to spin this one.

Santa Cruz Is still Super Champ.

Xu-Warrington not even for a legitimate world title as it stands

I heard Hearn was pushing for Santa Cruz to vacate the Super Title so Xu could be elevated to "Super" Champion.

Statement says IBF wont let him unify in April. That is because it would not be a unification as WBA regular belt. Warrington fighting Lara instead of Galahad. A clear duck. He lost first fight, Hearn knows that and he couldnt risk him losing his belt to Galahad.

Wasting his career away a bit, is Warrington. I thought he'd have loved the chance to fight in America, I remember Lee Selby buzzing at the sound of it when he was champion.

I think Covid wrecked the American dream for Warrington and now he just has to get on with it, if he had got a good win and taken decent numbers he could have had a nice little run over there. I don't think it's a duck either it's a fight nobody wants to see and it's also a win win for Eddie, he controls both fighters and could even make a unification grudge match further down the line. Smart business from Eddie this one.

Disappointed in Warrington tbh doing this.

This has to be a purely money driven situation.

I'm guessing it's partly down to if he lost against Galahad which was high risk low reward, with no crowds in site, he'd be out of the picture and future decent paydays.

Can't have been enough money he wanted either to fight Galahad again.

Who wanted to see Sofiane Takoucht? Or Lara? Warrington is happy to fight those guys?
How can giving up your world title not be a duck?

No disrespect to Galahad but Warrington has proved himself and has bigger fish to fry. He is looking at the big boys of the division now and rightly so. As I said it was a smart move from Eddie to let this one simmer while Warrington makes some big name fights.
