Fury was back in the gym for almost a year and had 2 tune-up fights in 6 months leading up to wilder. Furys body looked identically flabby in fight 1 vs fight 2. He was tuned up and looking like himself if you ask me all of this talk of Fury not being 100% and his bs mental health problems are just excuses for getting put on his back by an unskilled fighter he outweighed by 60 pounds

For all of Wilder's fault's , and they are many, standing right in front of him is lethal . Ruiz does exactly that.

It should be the Ruiz fight, for sure.
But Wilders confidence must be in such tatters right now that he desperatly needs an easier opponent than Andy, and it shows for us all.
Lets not forget that Martin was a "bum" when AJ fought him.

Now he's a "credible opponent whos top 15 boxrec and is a quick route to the IBF mando spot"......ppffffttttt.... sorry, it hurt just typing that last bit.

Ruiz wins, unless he blows it on the scales or takes a brown envelope before the fight.

Fury lost 100 pounds. He was still in poor shape for the first Wilder fight, before that he had a draw with Pianeta and didn't look good in that fight.

It was obvious to everyone except you that Fury was much better in the second fight with Wilder.

His body looked exactly the same in both fights. He had 12 months to get in shape he was clowning pianeta clearly didn't take him seriously. It's a soft boy excuse for a poor performance against Wilder who he should have defeated easily in fight 1

All is well that ends well.

What's important is that he dominated the second fight, stopped Wilder and took his belt.

Stylistically it should be a good fight Wilder would definitely open as the favorite, but id probably pick Ruiz tbh. Wilder would need to keep Ruiz outside and Wilder pretty much never does that he almost never throws double jabs or left hooks which were the tools Parker and Joshua used to keep Ruiz at the range, Ruiz just needs to slip the jab get inside and Bang to the body and head and repeat until he either wins on points or gets a late stoppage.

If Wilder lands that right yes theirs a good chance Ruiz goes to sleep but man does that kid have a chin he eat hundreds of rights from Joshua in the rematch and never even looked wobbled and when Joshua dropped him in the first fight he wasn't even hurt just pissed. I really hope the fight is made but people have rightly pointed out they're not gonna fight each other if a title isn't on the line.

It's looking clear that Ruiz wants a tune up (probably in the form of Chris Arreola) and then Luis Ortiz to get him back in the title picture, and Wilder wants a return match against a relatively unrisky fight with Charles Martin. If they both get through those fights I really hope one of the belt organizations order them to fight to be mandatory for the winner of Fury-Joshua that would be the dream scenario but as a boxing fan for a few years now I know not to get my hopes up lol. Wilder may also choose to fight the winner of Kownaki-Helenius 2 if he wants more time facing top 15-20 guys before jumping into the deep end of the division again which knowing the quality of opponents Wilder faces is definitely something I could see happening.

Every fight is important and I think Fury won both fights but I don't buy that Fury was any different physically in fight 2

He fought Fury twice who proved dangerous to him in their first bout. In fact I think it's fair to say in the rematch he stepped up and fought the biggest threat on the planet to him

he had to fight the rematch as the first fight was a draw,

and i dont believe Wilder felt Fury was the biggest threat on the planet to him when he signed the first fight,

so no credit for stepping up for the second fight, surprised he didnt duck it with BS

This is an absolutely moronic take. Wilder didn't "think" the best heavyweight in the world was a threat so no credit given for fighting him but you'd respect if he "stepped up" against Ruiz who embarrassed himself againsts AJ who almost everyone in the world favors Fury over? Ok guy.
