Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury have a signed contract for Fight III. The fight was delayed due to Covid. Arum said they couldn't hold the fight because they needed a live gate. The PPV distributors asked for a new date in early 2021.

Since then, there has been a social media blitz by Fury's team. Warren says Fury will not fight Wilder again because Wilder said mean things about the Gypsy King. The King of Smacktalk has had his feelings hurt by Wilder. Wilder 'crossed the line' with his insults. Contradicting Warren, Hearn says Wilder wasn't on social media enough insulting Fury, so that proves he didn't want the third fight. Fury has been on social media every day training says he's getting ready for Joshua.

I don't know if a judge will say having your feelings hurt or not mouthing off on social media to everyone's satisfaction is grounds for breaking a contract.

20,000 people attended the last Errol Spence fight in Texas. I think they can hold the Fury-Wilder fight now, which is why Hearn, Arum and Warren are trying to frantically run around and say they have a Fury-Joshua fight negotiated ... and fans believe that to be true ... when, in truth, they all admit they DON'T have a country to stage the fight or a signed contract.

They do have a signed contract for Wilder-Fury III. And, despite all the smoke and hyperbole and social media campaigns, it will come down to what is in the contract.

The original contract always says both sides (Fury and Wilder) will agree with the judgement of the arbitrator in the case of any disputes. We are now at that stage. Finkel said they expect an announcement by the end of the month (January). But who knows what the arbitrator will decide.

At this point, the only reason Wilder-Fury III isn't next is Tyson Fury had his feelings hurt. Is that good enough? Will they stage Fight Three? Will Fury-Joshua III be blocked in the courts when Wilder sues Fury for breach? If Fury-Joshua moves ahead, will Fury be sued for his share of a Joshua fight and come away with nothing? Will Wilder take a big payoff? Will the judge rule in Fury's favor?

What is your prediction? I kind of think the odds are shifting to Wilder-Fury III happening before Joshua-Fury ... as was the intention all along.

Can't really opine on a contract we haven't seen. I would wager that team Wilder will argue force majeure due to the pandemic, but it would depend on the window for exercising the rematch and whether Wilder's surgery caused that window to expire. Who knows.

i bet you Wilder does not want to fight Fury anymore,,,,

he is too scared and this is why he created all the BS excuses for getting beat up,

he was too scared to fight Vlad, he was too scared to fight AJ as well as others, he choose Fury after Fury became out of shape and looked like crap in his comeback,,,

the guy does not like to fight the best guys because he cant deal with loosing,,,,

Wilder was violated in the rematch. He'll be consenting in the third fight.

You hve made a huge mistake in your assumptions OP. There is no contract signed for fight 3 at all. There was a rematch clause which allowed for the possibility of a 3rd fight if Wilder wanted it but that is not a contract. A contract would have been signed for the 3rd fight AFTER wilder excercised his rematch clause. It is literally impossible from a legal perspective to sign a contract for the fight BEFORE WIlder excercised the remauch clause. Wilder did NOT excercise his rematch clause within the time specified in the fight 2 contract and therefore the rematch clause expired and is no longer valid

You could have at least researched the basics of the situation before writing so much text

He actually exercised the rematch clause a week after the fight. The fight was signed. The date and location set. And then came a pandemic ... and the delays and requests by distributors to push it back to early 2021 followed.

That was another false rumor (he didn't exercise it) that was floated for months - which, apparently, you didn't research.

Wilder does not want the third fight, he is only trying to save face so for the rest of his life he can say "he wouldn't fight me again tho, he was scared".

    Boxing is all business

Covid situation allowed a contract to run out and a route to indisputed for WAY more money came available to both Fury and AJ who have left Wilder in a boat without a paddle.

USA isn't hosting big fights this summer at full capacity, neither is the UK.

The middle east can though which is the perfect loophole for AJ Fury.

Wilder's management are too incompetent to go for a Saudi fight venue.

Was not really interested in seeing the second fight, let alone a third one.
How many times does Fury have to beat Wilder? Twice should be more than enough.

It has to be that Wilder is engaging in this process either out of pride or the desire for step aside money.

The WBC has all but said that Wilder will get a shot at their belt as soon as he wants one.

3rd fight seems so pointless that I really hope it doesn't happen. I have a feeling even if it did and Fury were to win again wilder fans would keep calling for rematches until eventually Deontays hail Mary right hand saves the day for him.

Dude got out boxed and got a gift draw, and then got absolutely ****ed in the rematch. There's nothing left to see there. We need AJ vs Fury to finally establish the no. 1 in the division.

    Wilder dont want it

    Simple

    AJ vs Fury is next

Wilders more than likely gonna fade away in to retirement... Maybe a Martin fight to try and manipulate the public in to think he is serious about a come back

Then do interviews with various youtube beggers about how he felt he could not continue without the opportunity to avenge the "cheating" Fury

After Fury handily deals with AJ everyone is going to be gagging for AJ Wilder.

Maybe for even more than Fury AJ!

There were 16,000 people at the last Fury-Wilder fight, which broke the gate receipt record for Vegas. There were also 16,000 people at the recent Errol Spence-Danny Garcia fight.

Putting 16,000 people in a football stadium in the U.S. isn't a problem ... people can sit far enough apart. The gate excuse for not holding the fight in the U.S. is now dead.

Another reason for delaying the fight has been removed.

That's why, in a recent article on the countries in the running for Fury-Joshua, one of the countries named was the United States.

Warren and Arum can't claim the Fury-Wilder fight can't be held in the U.S. when they've said the U.S. is one of the countries on the list for hosting Joshua-Fury this summer. (LOL)

Nonsense. Sleepy Joe Biden is shutting your country down in a few weeks. tighter restrictions not lesser.
