Unless the 4 wannabes are going to fight each other in a round robin then Teo should rematch Loma then move up.

That being said Loma is mugging himself with the way he's acted after this loss. No use being a kid about it now he should have had the rematch clause in the contract

 

Agreed. I want to see the rematch, and hope we do get it, but it’s hard to figure out why he wouldnt include a rematch clause.

 

There should be a rematch, but I get why Lopez doesn't want to offer one. Lomachenko has always struck me as stuck up, arrogant, and dismissive of his opposition. This coupled with the lack of rematch clause and the way he has acted in defeat, I wouldn't want to give him a rematch either. This degree of pettyness I understand.
That said, it was close and Lopez would make more money fighting Lomachenko than anybody else in the division. Lopez should suck it up and offer a rematch, although if it were me I'd make sure there was a rematch clause for the rematch.

To me it tells that teo is not confident to beat loma again.

If you dislike loma for all those reasons and feel confident of beating him then rematch him and tell him that" you can have as many as you like i beat you every time"

This is quiting while you are ahead, you dont lose but you still a quiter.

Loma is small guy 135 is too high for him if he will beat teo it will still be close fight. So for him wanting a remach is admirable.

I like Lopez but the rematch avoidance is kinda of sucky

IF Lopez actually thinks he's the better man & won fairly rather than be known as a coward who really only just beat an injured opponent. Lopez is only copying the actions of Canelo & Mayweather before him STAY WELL AWAY from dangerous opponents

What do you call it when a guy takes a lesser fight and avoids the biggest money fight available? Lopez is a low class punk like his father and is a coward if he avoids the rematch. Guys defending him by saying “what about the rematch clause?” are just little bitches. This is still one of the best matchups at LW. You either like boxing or you don’t. If you are in this to trash talk and follow your tribal politics, I get it. I’m a boxing fan and want to see the best fights.

Although if Lopez fights Haney or Garcia next, I have no complaints. If he fights a no name no hoper, he’s a punk.
