Look I totally accept there's a new strain of respiratory bug out there, and it is deadly for some, albeit a minority. I totally agree that the vulnerable minority need to be protected. But I want the rest of us to be "allowed" to get on with our lives. This whole Covid thing is grotesque overreacting and overreaching by government. It is about social control, not public health.

 

Great post mate. There are two sides of this coin and there’s no right answer at the moment. For me its an argument between peoples freedoms and general lives being dragged through the mud and ruined really, to the fact that people ARE dying and its not anybody’s else choice to take risks with someone else’s life.

With regards to Josh Taylor, he’s clearly a young lad living the dream and making both positive and negative moves in equal measure. From what I’ve seen he’s still massively supported in Scotland and I can’t see that changing in the foreseeable.

 

I dont get the social control aspect of it len. Interested in the viewpoints tbh. But what are they even gaining from it. I m not sure their that interested in what people get up to in their spare time.

Cant it just be that they just dont want more people dying from the disease...and the nhs not being overwhelmed to the point they need to turn people away just like they,ve been saying from the start.

Its been hard for us all. My heart goes out to people with mental health problems etc. But what really would the government gain from it all tho.

 

Exactly this. When people have conspiracies, I always try to ask...ok let's say it's true...but why? To control us! To control us, but to what end...and why? What's in it for them.

 

I’ve wondered what they’re gaining from in since Feb/March. What the hell was the point in getting all the British back from China and forcing NHS workers out of their accommodation to isolate them people in Arrowe Park??? If they were to continue to allow people from China, Italy and other severely infected parts of the world in April-June to wander in unchecked. I am uneducated in this sort of stuff and I was saying this at the time. This means the scientists knew it but for some reason didn’t shut the borders etc. Island nation very easy stuff to do so why not?? Other nations did it and are living normal lives. I don’t care that they have more sparse population density. It’s the same logic and it works.

The first thought that springs to mind is that they did it on purpose as they want to kill off coffin dodgers and NHS clogger uppers such as smokers and obese people who they hate as they waste NHS money. We’re an ageing population and with brexit all the care sector workers are bailing as they were before because our wages are terrible now, even for them. The amount of people born however, is still more than those they’ve killed off with their accidentally on purpose negligence. So I don’t understand the decisions they’ve made.

As for making the whole nation live stupid rules for something with such a huge survival rate. I find it stupid. The vulnerable should be advised to isolate and the others should be responsible for their own decisions. Making everyone have a jab for something like that is also a bit fishy. I am no conspiracy theorist but you have to wonder why.

“Protect the NHS” the conservatives need to **** off with this as it boils my blood. They can’t wait to privatise it the burst couch head, elitist, pompous scum bags.

 

As I said, Taylor wiped his Twitter around the time he turned professional. I obviously did'nt take screen shots. A good few people here and on YouTube and Twitter clearly seen them and bring it up now and again.

People have been saying they,ve been trying to kill the nhs off for 50 years. And yet its still going today. People seriously think its about things like the nhs or even the conservatories etc? This pandemics worldwide.

The country and many other countries have lost billions through this pandemic. It wouldnt make sense if it was about money. They,ve paid for pretty much everyone to be off work through a lot of it.

The figures are sitting at well over 100,000 deaths and thats with us all being locked down. What would it have been if it wasnt locked down. Dread to think tbh because it would have been much much worse than it is. Feel that the same people complaining about lockdown would be the same ones saying the government are responsible for more deaths if they hadnt have locked down.

At some point we,ve got to stop blaming the government for everything. Seems to me theres people out there waiting on the governments next decision to disagree with it. At some point we,ve all got to work together. We might not get everything our own way...but the amount of blame the government get when to me people are shirking their own responsibilities right left and centre. Its not my fault its the governments fault seems to be the new cool atm.

Thats just my take on it bud. Just honesty dont see how the government would want to kill people off etc in a grand scheme.

 

We are living in a period in the UK where personal responsibility is all but going out the window for massive swathes of people, it's really sad to see.

Were also incredibly tolerant now of the wrong sorts of people which doesn't help matters. You know, the ones on YouTube who become purposely awkward with the Police, Ballifs etc, claiming to be some sort of social pariahs.

The same clowns who abuse the term 'freedom of speech'.

Say it to his face? No thanks, I'd rather not get KTFO by an elite boxer. Anyway, anyone has the right to call something out, I wouldn't say I have a problem with him, I actually like Josh Taylor the boxer. The guy is clearly a bigoted racist with a long history of it too. Never mind the criminal conviction that he has acquired too.

Josh Taylor was a huge supporter of the English Defense League and Tommy Robinson a few years back. Following, liking and retweeting all the racist bigoted lies and hateful rubbish that was being spewed by them. Just because it is called English doesn't mean a Scottish person can't be in cahoots with it.
