Andre Ward says he’d rather come back to fight Joshua than Canelo.

He probably could defeat AJ. Joshua is taller than Kovalev, thus his balls are higher, which makes it easier for Ward to throw
punches straight at his nuts. You have to admit it's more difficult to punch DOWN and then UP into a man's testicles.
With AJ, Ward would punch STRAIGHT into AJ's balls for a quick and easy TKO.

Whilst I think Usyk is a stylistic nightmare for Joshua, Usyk is a good bit bigger than Ward, and i'd struggle to see any scenario where Ward could keep Joshua honest.

Ward's best strengths @ 168 and 175 was his physical strength, rough-house ability, and ring iq. Only the ring iq would be much use against Joshua - even though AJs inside game isn't that great, no way Ward wants any of that uppercut smoke! Could he overcome the reach disadvantage and be able to get his jab off? Stranger things have happened, but I have my doubts.

Ward's best attributes are not going to work as much for him against AJ. Ward can adapt well, but it's hard to see anything other than an early night, as Joshua simply walks through him.

Funnily enough, in a case of 'styles make fights', I think Ward would actually do better against Usyk, even though I think Uysk beats Joshua by decision or late stoppage.

AJ would knock them both out on the same night.

I would love to see him get in the ring with AJ. Been waiting to see him unconscious for like a decade now.

Not sure, sometimes, size can be overrated.

we just saw John Ruiz ktfo Joshua who to be honest, should be fighting at SMW if he lost all that fat.

we also saw James Toney compete at HW and not get ktfo in one round. Ward is the same caliber fighter and is not as shot, taller and possibly bigger bone density than Toney.

Ward he does inside 2 rounds. Usyk then jumps in like a lamb to the slaughter and AJ gets him out of there inside 8. 10 rounds easy. Big Femi then goes home with a 10 and does a few rounds under the sheets. Job done.

SOG beats AJ by late stoppage. Ward's inside game is too good, and he's too short for AJ to get adequate leverage on anything he throws. He'd get inside, pin himself to his body like a magnet, roll with every shot coming his way and pound his stomach like he's trying to get into a pinata full of M&M's. Eventually The Hearnenstein's Monster will be so gassed out, he won't be able to stand up, and Ward wins by sheer exhaustion TKO.
