What's the ****ing point in two active fighters having a a shitty exhibition fight when it can be made for real.... Pac can drop to 140 and Garcia goes up.
Because Golden Boy's Golden Boy is Ryan García. It would be incredibly foolish to put him in against Pac in a real fight because the chances of García losing is very likely. And by KO, no less. An exhibition would still be an incredible spectacle and if Pac were to "win," García would still be undefeated and seen as an unfinished and continually developing fighter. Win win situation, really. I don't really have a problem with it as Pac will be 43 this year, has been inactive, and very busy with the Senate. Could also be a great tune-up for Spence later on in the year.
I was going to say it's too early for Ryan. An exhibition match though? Why would I want to see that between these fighters? These aren't shot inactive guys. I mean Pac is old but he just fought Thurman. Not supporting this but whatever.
Yeah I understand from a commercial money spinning stand point but at the end of the day they are similar sized active fighters at world level.......... fight in a proper ****ing fight and give the fans a real spectacle none of this exhibition bollocks
Pointless fight whether it's an exhibition or not. But if it is an exhibition then the sport of boxing will be entering uncharted potentially dangerous territory and it's going to set a precedent - If you have a fanbase and a track record of selling PPV's why take the risk of having a real fight for big money when you could potentially get hurt and sustain long term damage when with clever marketing and fake trash talk on social media you can have a fake exhibition bout for huge money and no risk ?? It's one thing old, retired fighters having exhibition bouts but once active, full time boxers start who knows were it all might lead.

exhibition is basically a play fight, i'm fine with retired/shot fighters putting them on but two active pros just tells me you want to have a scripted fight that looks realistic.
Manny is 42. Will be close to 43. And he's been inactive. Manny's reflexes and speed can be severely diminished in his next fight and leave him as a sitting duck.
