GGG is the biggest waste of talent in this era. He literally had a chance against all everyone between 154-168, but chose to fight Kamil Szeremeta, Stephen Ralls, Vanes Martisrosyan, Kell Brook, Dominic Wade, Will Monroe, Kell Brook, Marco Anotnio Rubio.

 

Avoided by Sturm, Martinez, Ward, Mayweather, Froch, Chavez, Eubank ... etc ...

Canelo is still petrified of rematching an old man that even I think he might beat legitimately the third time round.

When prime GGG walked into a room full of middleweights, they collectively dropped a load in their underpants in case they should get called out.

 

So he was avoided by Sturm and Martinez when both Sturm and Martinez were old and Martinez was cashing out against the much much more popular Cotto.

Sounds like when GGG declined Andrade, Charlo, Saunders and Derevyanchenko because he was getting old and wanted to make sure he got the Canelo jackpot.

Of course he would beg for Froch he was retired.

Mayweather isn't even a real Super Welterweight, but of course GGG would want Mayweather to come up to 160, he loves taking those type of fights. How many WW and career JrMWs has he fought now, I think the last time I counted it was 7?

Ward sent an offer in 2015, for a fight in 2016 at 168, and we all know it was rejected in less than a day. In other words, they didn't even consider it because they never wanted Ward.

GGG truly could have been great but he was chasing paper.

 

He was Sturm's mandatory and they literally invented another belt so that Sturm could dodge him. Martinez I can sort of understand ... Cotto was better paying than GGG and it makes business sense, even though GGG > Cotto.

None of those guys were ever serious about facing him. Twitter callouts when Golovkin has just signed a fight mean nothing. Saunders was even open about wanting to age Golovkin.

He fought SD.

FROCH was the one who said he was "too big, too strong" for Golovkin He kicked it off.

Don't make stuff up. Golovkin said he'd go to 154 for Mayweather.

Before Ward sent that offer (when the Lemieux fight had just been signed, what a surprise) it had been WARD WHO REJECTED A FIGHT with GGG citing contractual issues. Later on when Golovkin offered to make the fight at 168 Ward rejected it out of hand. Want to see the article again?

Golovkin was the guy that had to pay extra to his mandatories so that they would face him

 

Froch beats the hell outta him and wins by UD.

 

This. The guy wouldn't fight Callum Smith but he would have fought Froch? lol.. There's a reason his record at 168 is 0-0-0 .
He's too much of a bully boy to give advantages to his opponents.

 

Interesting 164 NOT 168 tho

 

He's actually fought above 160 like 4 time. 161-164 is Golovweight.

 

Imagine the garbage Canelo would've gotten if he had fought Rocky and Smith at 164??

 

The days when he was "KO HWs and LHWs in sparring" but refused to move up even a single division for a meaningful fight while simultaneously crying that no one wanted to fight him, while claiming he would fight anyone between 154-168 while ignoring Andrade, Lara, and Trout and acting like it was Ward who was ducking him for not accepting a 164 catchweight while calling Canelo a coward for asking for a 155 catchweight.

Its funny how the GGG lovers call Ward a coward because he refused GGG's main stipulation to make the fight which was to come down in weight, but attack Canelo because he put a hydration clause that could be broken if a penalty is paid against Jacobs who is smaller than Ward.

 

He went to 164 because Rolls couldn't cut to 160. Canelo would have insisted on 160 and a rehydration clause.

 

Rolls?? Wow! That's a huge threat Canelo would've tap that a$$ at 168 or 175 no need for catch weight

 

There's nearly always a catchweight, rehydration clause, short camp, peds or favourable judging when Canelo is involved.
