What's your most hated fight

I was going to say exactly this, the fight against BHOP was one of the most boring fights I have ever seen!

 

not just that, but a split decision against a man in his 40's.

 

I'm 100 % sincere not trying to fool anyone. I knew the guy from 1999 was ringside for most of his fights since then & I never ever saw anything illegal or underhanded from him. Were you even born in 1999 ????

 

i was 32 in 1999, and you still haven't answered my question about floyd fighting the best of his era.
so now you can't fall back on age to make excuses.
i'm still waiting...

 

I believe the back story here is that this guy was involved in government somehow. He then got muscle implants(!!!), which is why he looks almost nonhuman throwing punches.

It was an awful fight but credit where it's due .b hop was the number 1 at lightheavy....something people neglect to mention lol

but he was also the king at MW for years when he was in his prime and joe decided to stay with frank warren.

 

Fight was signed and b hop asked for double the cash apparently..or so the legend goes..not that I'm letting super Joe off the hook..he could've done far far more for his legacy...bugs me he fought alot of cans when he was talented enough to have been taking some serious scalps around his weight class

 

don't get me wrong, joe was an excellent fighter.
but it's not bad luck that asking hopkins to come to wales didn't work out.

warren was a cancer who got his fighters 'a belt', and once they had it, it was all about milking it at home - the fighter who earnt it always had his career stall.
joe was way too good for that, but he allowed it nonetheless.

 

Rances Barthelemy vs Robert Easter Jr. because no punches were thrown for 12 whole rounds.

 

I'd have much preferred to see the fight a good 5 years before it happened..same with the Jones fight..it's definitely the best criticism people can throw at Calzaghe that he got too comfortable..if he'd showed the same desire for challenges he showed in his last 6 fights early in his career he could have a really special resume...only guy I'd favour over him was Jones.

 

Ruiz vs Joshua 2.

They dragged Ruiz across the world only to see Joshua run for 12 rounds and steal the belts. Joshua didn't even try to finish a guy who literally had his knees bent inward under his own weight and was baby-stepping around the ring.

 

i'd favour hopkins too, but it's a moot point at this stage.
