Im sure we’ll find out the logistics later but I’m very shocked that Ennis is getting this fight. Lipinets is #9 in the Ring ratings and also signed under the PBC banner. Part of me believes Ennis has agreed to a promotional pact with the PBC also to get a shot at one of their top WWs.
I thought he was fighting at least tangentially with PBC seeing as he's been on Showtime a good few times to date.
His deal with Showtime was separate from PBC that’s why he never fought on any of their cards except maybe one.. But as I said now he’s actually landed this fight he probably just signed a pact pending a victory. There is no way Al is gonna let him climb those sanctioning body rankings(especially the ibf) without having under contract.
Absolutely, I could see him signing a very lucrative deal though, his talent is undeniable after that Van Heerden performance, as brief as it was we all know where that bout was headed very soon if not for the headbutt. His speed in particular is frightening.
Good step up fight for Ennis. Dangerous fight for Lipinets, as a loss will firmly place him in “the other guy” pile. He was kind of lucky to come away with a draw against “the other guy” in his last fight.
Interesting bout. I don't think Jaron is going to run through him like most might think. Lipinets is very tough and can make anybody look bad if they aren't 100% on their game.
