One can see clear as day, in the last two rounds, Spinks was hurt, especially in the 14th when Holmes staggered Spinks and very well might've finished him off had it not been for him being fatigued.

Right, prime Holmes might have finished him off

Even if this was true, which it isn't, it's nowhere near as outlandish as claiming Charles has no advantages over Spinks.

I'm messing with you. I do think Spinks is highly regarded at 175, but he's still somewhat underrated too.

Hell even THAT Holmes may have finished him off if he wasn't so exhausted!

The final 2 rounds, particularly the 14th.

You're getting it confused, Charles is BETTER at certain aspects, but in the ring them aspects would not come into ADVANTAGE against Spinks

I don't think Spinks has speed or power ... Charles had a ton more experience against much more top opposition ... Spinks best opponent by far at 175 was Qwai, a terrific fighter but Charles fought at least ten fighters on that level or better and defeated them decisively .. Charles defeated Louis more definitively than Spinks defeated Holmes at heavyweight .. I certainly don't know how you say Spinks had a higher ring IQ based on level of competition. I love Spinks and think he's a top five all time at light heavyweight but I think Charles may be the all time best p4p fighter ever ... the men he fought and defeated from 160 through heavyweight is second to none .. I have him right up there w Langford, Greb, Robinson and Fitz as all time P4P top ..

Ezzard just edges Michael, but that awkwardness will be a factor in the fight. And if Spinks landed the Spinks Jinx on Ezzard, it could be a major problem.

I'm absolutely not getting it confused. The difference between being better at something and having an advantage, is a semantical difference which is absolutely tiny. If you're better at something than somebody else, that's to your advantage.

And anyway, yes they would. It's plain stupid to think Charles' better infighting, body work and defence wouldn't be advantages in a fight with Spinks.

And you're not considering styles. Eddie Mustafa Muhammed fought like a Lidl's own version of Charles, and while so badly drained they invented the day before weigh in system for him - literally having to burn off 25lbs+ in five weeks - still gave Spinks a good fight, winning six or seven rounds on my card. Plus, the defence oriented counter-punching style which Eddie Davis used to trouble (and IMO, beat) Spinks, was something Charles could emulate. He's certainly better defensively, at countering, fighting off the ropes and on the inside than Davis was.

I see no reason why one can't argue Spinks over Charles as a superior LHW.

It's Pound for pound it gets tricky as Charles had a far better overall HW run.
