Get you a fighter who can do both! Seriously tho, the stick and move style probably has a better record considering how many brawlers just crash and burn along the way that we never see. Certainly allows guys to prelong careers. But my fav fighters def tend more towards brawlers than stick and move bc Its more exciting imo.
It's interesting how the stick and move style is viewed as safer, but you have to wonder. They can end up fighting more rounds and taking more damage potentially, and still get beat up on occassion. Look at Degale, the guy had to retire early 30s and seems to have CTE. He was considered a ''slickster'' with all the traits associated, but it didn't stop him getting caught and bashed silly in certain fights. Bute another guy who took a lot despite having the 'safer' style. Of course Ali is the most laughable example, though he was a pre modern, so blocked a lot of shots with his face anyway. Fury in a way showed how the pressure style can sometimes save you punishment. He fought Wilder in two very different ways. And he took more damage in the first Wilder fight.
