Wow...that's great information. Johnny G was an ATG here. I once went on a rampage against people under 5'5"...I forget why...and he came on and said Frank, I'm 5'4", why do you hate me? It put me in my place for sure. RIP Champ.

Interesting thread to say the least ...

    Regarding the height difference,

Posture, footwear, and camera angles have to be taken into consideration .... But Marciano was no small man .... A lot of the guys on here saying he would be too small to compete with guys from later eras need to reconsider their thought process ...

Also, regarding Tyson, I think Tyson maxed out at 5'10" at the most ... He had a naturally heavy, robust build that made him seem shorter than what he was and his posture isn't always the best at times ... Tyson also had a massive skull so there's no way I see him being under 5'10"

Paul Cavalier would obviously beat them both ,after all he beat a 20 years old 162lbs Braddock, and a 21 years old Galento! He just never got the big fights, his talent warranted! lol

A boxer with an indifferent record with wins over also rans and two well pre- prime names . A guy who never beat a rated fighter and hence never merited a big fight.Oh, and he sparred with Joe Louis for a verified 13 minutes.

He also did a very good job refereeing the Rocky Graziano v Tony Zale fight. Still light on his feet.

Elbows McFadden was the one guy Mysterious Billy Pickles never could get the better of. His famous corkscrew elbow to the Adam’s apple was a sight to behold.
