I think Groves would be competitive for periods, but will do well to last the distance.

Benn by unanimous decision, winning at least eight rounds, maybe a 10/8 or two in there too.

I would favour Benn to be honest.

But, i would not be shocked if Groves beats him, George has good mobility and boxing skills and a decent dig as well.

I cast my mind to Sugar boy Malinga, who imo won both Benn fights, and see it as that type of fight.

Good fight. Groves has size, good fundamentals and genuine power. Just say the name Groves and I see the look on Carl Froch's face when George dropped him in their first fight. Groves also had plenty of courage too, just remember how he hung in there against Badou Jack. He had two serious and debilitating shortcomings though, his chin and his stamina.
Benn at his very beat was a raw, unorthodox big hitting problem for any opponent. After the first Eubank fight, Nigel buckled down and harnessed immense fitness to his rugged aggression and shattering power.
Groves' only real chance here is to go straight at Benn from the first bell. He can't outlast Nigel in a war. George needs to get Benn out of there in the first four rounds and if they both come out for the sixth it's going to get horrible for Groves.
I take Nigel in nine or ten of a terrific tear up.

Groves would out-jab Benn and had the power to stop him, Benn had trouble v good jabbers like Malinga and Groves is better than Malinga was, even Sanderline Williams gave Benn a lot of problems.

Groves punched harder than Galvano, Benn didn`t have many brutal KO`s at 168.

    George Groves
    Total fights
    32
    Wins 28
    Wins by KO 20

Benn`s KO ratio wasn`t better than Groves at 168,
While still a dangerous, and damaging puncher, Benn's move to the higher weight limit saw him refine his fight strategy and adopt a more considered approach. The aggression remained but he relied less on one punch knockout power and became a more effective, and adaptable fighter. He defended his title against fellow Britons Nicky Piper and Lou Gent, and a rematch victory over Mauro Galvano, before again Chris Eubank, who was now WBO super-middleweight champion, in a unification bout on 9 October 1993. The bout ended in a draw, with both fighters retaining their respective titles. Benn defended his title twice more in 1994 with unanimous decisions against Henry Wharton and Juan Carlos Giminez Ferreyra.
