Would have been the biggest fight heavyweight of the 00s between two prime fighters. While Americans were depressed over the European takeover I'm sure there would be some who would pay for this.

Yeah, I think it would have. Mayweather would have never taken the limelight in boxing if this fight could have been made.

And I'd pick Vitali to win in a decision

Just the sibling matchup itself would have made it done major numbers.

This isn’t the Williams sisters beating at each other at tennis, this is a violent sport where the intent is to beat the crap out ouf your opponent.

No way this wouldn't have done huge numbers and gotten massive mainstream attention.

Not sure? I am partial to streaming for free...but I would watch it, if that’s what you are asking

I think it would have done great but maybe it would have been priced so high, maybe no one would have been able afford the price. PPV is too high as it is, I wait for the fight to be shown on You Tube. I do not have cable television, just a streaming service. Much cheaper.

Top 5 ALL TIME Heavyweight matches that were never made:
    1.)Tyson-Holyfield '91
    2.) Tyson-Foreman
    3.) Bowe-Lewis
    4.) Wlad-Vitali
    5.) Dempsey-Wills
    6.) Holmes-Foreman

    ...any others I might've missed?

It would be a popular fight, not sure about ppv stuff.
Nevertheless, they would never fight against each other. As amateur boxers, they had sometimes sparring sessions together. However, Wladimir broke his leg suddenly during a sparring fight. Both has seen it as a sign to never fight against each other again. They also promised it to their mother. Though, Wladimir once said, that Vitali is stronger.

At least, they never fought seriously again, after the broken leg story. I am pretty sure, it was during their amateur career. Anyway, the broken leg was the turning point. I have no available sources about it, just heard and read it a few times over the years. (interviews, Klitschko movie, newspapers....) Maybe you know something about?

I wouldn`t call this a real sparring fight. For me it`s more a comfortable trainings session. (video)

It'll be mainstream & do pretty good numbers (not bad, but not entirely impressive either). But one thing for sure is that this would be a snooze fest. Worse than Mayweather/Pacquiao.

Too much is made of this. The basis for your schadenfreude is imaginary, though perhaps no less enjoyable for that? I would have loved to see that fight and been happy to pay for it. After LL hung em' up it would have been an oasis in a vast desert of **** and Vitali would have been properly recognized as the better of the two. Props to big bro for taking one for the team in perpetuity.
