I can sympathize with people favoring Holyfield, but three rounds or less? Peter Jackson couldn't put him away in 61 rounds. Bob Fitzsimmons needed 14 rounds to put him away. Jim Jeffries needed 23. Even when he was past his prime, and Jeffries was at his absolute peak, he still needed 10. He doesn't strike me as being a fighter who is likely to get blown out early!
I respect and enjoy your opinions and insights and have for years...but nah, I will stick with my pick
I also respect and enjoy your opinions and insight. Personally I am very reluctant to predict an early stoppage of a fighter, unless one actually happened.
He didnt beat Jackson who was under 200lbs, and Sullivan certainly was not prime when he fought Corbett. Name one of them.
What movers did Holyfield struggle with? And speaking of things fighters have never seen before, imagine corbett standing in his diaper staring down an angry well schooled 200 pounds of pure muscle evander Holyfield
Holyfield is the better fighter in general regardless of era. I’d pick him to absolutely brutalize Corbett.
