This is proof none of that weight lifting **** matters. Joshua should just be relatively fit all around but not chiseled. He should be about 230-235. He was 230 at one point but he had an extremely large muscular torso and spindly legs. It should just be fit all around but not too muscular.
Yeah these plus people have a real revisionist history about the charles martin victory but at the time martin was undefeated and a belt holder and AJ made extremely easy work of him. Martin isn't a great fighter but in terms of a significant win that also makes a statement deserves mention.
What about Vlad? I mean, if Vlad is considered Fury's best win, that win being just one fight before AJ fought him. A fight were Fury inflicted zero damage on Vlad. A fight which Vlad looked much better in than when he faced Fury. You gotta give AJ a nod for that. Outside of their Vlad fights, only Wilder and Ruiz separates Fury from AJ. So, I think your depth of critisim towards AJ is somewhat baseless.
Wilder top opposition but Povetkin, Parker, Whyte, Ruiz and Pulev who all have better resumes or career wins 5han what Wilder not considered top opposition? I would say AJ best performances 1) Wlad - AJ Digged deep, first time he didnt have a fight all his way. Against an ATG great who came to a fight in the best shape and lightest he had been in 7 years. In what was one of ATG great entertaining HW championship fights ever. 2. Povetkin - set traps and strategically broke down a dangerous power puncher with one the best and most proven resumes in the division. 3. Whyte - Beat a domestic rival winning every round and brutally KO'ed him (whyte rocked at one point but AJ back in control of the fight within seconds). The win has raged very well considering Whyte beat the likes Parker Chisora x 2, Rivas and Heleinius since. 4. Ruiz 2 - If Fury beat him if this manor he priased heavily but AJ does and her called dancing and running. AJ box smart and won every round against the guy that caused an upset against him. 5.Pulev - Pulevs shown his level beating Chisora and Hughie comfortably . AJ dominated Pulev and beat him by a brutal KO ending it. 6. Parker - opponent level wise it's a better a win than Pulev and Ruiz as I rate Parker higher but it wasn't as entertaining as the above fights.
Takam would probably be Wilder best opponent he has beaten after Ortiz. Would be Furys best opponent he has beaten after Wlad, Chisora and Wilder.
Fury fought afraid vs Wilder 1 and Wlad. Joshua landed better punches on Ruiz in his scared performance than Fury did in those two fights.
I liked his performance vs. Charles Martin. Even though Martin wasn't the best, I wasn't expecting AJ to get rid of him so easily.
Wlad, Ruiz 2, Parker Wlad - Wlad proved he still had plenty left in himself to beat an upcoming star. Joshua went in the trenches and had to prove his worth. It was a brilliant fight. Ruiz 2 - after a significant lay off he came back and won arguably 11 of 12 rounds. Regardless if Ruiz undertrained, Joshua put on a boxing clinic to avenge his devastating loss. Not to mention a loss that people said he was foolish to redeem as his come back fight. Parker - knew he wasn't going to KO Parker, so he boxed from the outset - something many didn't believe he could do. Parker is no slouch, was fast hands and can make an awkward fight for anyone. Joshua nullified Parkers offence at times and made a great performance of it. I know the ref sucked and refused all inside fighting, but nonetheless, Joshua did what he needed to do and was displinced in doing so - as @Hoddsey stated
