It will be on BT PPV. I think Usyk's contract with Matchroom has ended and he wasn't happy with Hearn after the Chisora fight because he felt like they were mistreating him (interview with Ukranian TV he was saying this and making allegations about Chisora's gloves and the size of the ring). It will definitely be on BT and should be on PPV I would have thought. Usyk's fights in the UK have all been on PPV previously, and he is pretty well-known, and so is Joyce after beating Dubois. Would make sense to have it on PPV, it could do very good numbers, maybe 200k buys at a push depending on the undercard.
Usyk getting shafted as most Russian/Ukrainians do in these situations. He's mandatory he should refuse the bull**** interim fight. I think he definitely beats Juggernaut but it could be a tough fight, and Usyk has been picking up a lot of injuries lately so he needs to get his deserbed WBO shot before it's too late.
Proper evenly matched competitive fight, winner is the official 3rd best HW no ifs and or buts and fights winner of AJ - Fury. Hope Usyk isn't expecting an exact replay of their amateur bout cause if so he might be in for a rude awakening. I'll go Usyk in a tight UD.
With the vaccine roll out going so well in this country, they should hold off until the Summer. Usyk vs Joyce does 20k at the O2 Arena.
Usyk is all wrong for Joyce, I don’t think he stops Joyce but will definitely box his head off for 12 rounds
I was thinking about this yesterday. I think Usyk is past his prime, he’s 34 now, always relied on movement, speed, reflexes. He hasn’t looked great since moving up to heavyweight. I once predicted he would wipe the division including Fury and Joshua but I’m going to back track now and say he’s going to have a difficult night against The Juggernaut!
100%. Big fan of Usyk but the clock’s ticking on him. At 34, he has the wear and tear of 350 amateur fights including 2 Olympic cycles. Plus 18 pro fights that include 7 world title fights. He’s not a huge puncher, so he gets miles on the clock and the body is breaking down. I think 18 months ago he could have beaten both AJ and Fury but as he’ll not realistically be getting the chance until late 2022 it makes me think he can’t. I think he outpoints Joyce but gets a little beat up and more mileage in the process.
This is key in my thinking. Watching Loma and can’t help but think the pair of them have left it a bit late.
Most people under 70 will not have been anywhere near the vaccine by this summer. I think the chances of packed arenas anytime soon are pretty slim. Let’s get the fight on in April. Usyk will win on points in a physically gruelling fight.
