Hagler was one of my all time favorites. GGG is a surprisingly good boxer and has a great chin. Marvin has less power but was a bulldog in the ring and had amazing stamina. GGG wouldn’t make the mistake Tommy Hearns made and try to go toe to two with Hagler, I don’t think anyone wins that battle. He could box well enough to take it to the cards but I have to go with Hagler. GGG has great power and could KO anyone, but I don’t think he would catch Hagler.
Hagler underperformed a few times too but that doesn't mean he isn't great. I don't see how you envision a stoppage in this fight.
Agreed, it is like saying Hagler struggled with Vito Antuofermo so that means GGG stops him? Nobody is getting stopped in Hagler v GGG IMO
Exactly, he got two guys with the most notoriously cast iron chins at middleweight ever perhaps and predicted a stoppage? Madness.
Hagler came out orthodox at first v Leonard and Mugabi, he missed some wide shots early on v Mugabi and would do the same v GGG, then it would become a chess match for a while both men covered their chins well with their gloves as they punched, a close one but Hagler was a killer.
