Canelo-Mayweather 2- What would it take

The Japanese kick boxer was an exhibition, Conor claimed he could box and the idiots believed him so Floyd took advantage to clean up. He trained at the Girl Collection strip joints for the fight. Floyd said it was a heist. He was retired from professional boxing but not retired from making money.

Why make this fight now? Floyd is around 44 years old now, this is a lose-lose for Canelo. Canelo beats Floyd people will always say "Floyd hasnt fought a top ranked fighter in years, is in his mid 40s, and is basically retired", if Canelo destroys Floyd people will say this proves nothing for all the aforementioned reasons, if (and worst case scenario for Canelo) Canelo wins barely or loses then what? The only reason this fight happens is a metric ton of money being dumped in both boxers' laps.

The only way this fight means anything is if Floyd ended his retirement and beat someone whos held in good regard (a Charlo? Spence? Crawford? GGG?) before fighting Canelo. This is a pretty unrealistic scenario and even then, its going to be tough for this fight to mean anything for Canelo besides money because Floyd is still in his mid forties.

We got this fight close to the most optimal time we could for two fighters with such an age discrepancy. Its crazy it happened at all.

 

the reason the first fight happened when it did is because canelo was on his way up from 154, and 154 proved to be floyd's limit, so it was a fight that was made during a small window of opportunity.

canelo is too big now.
weight classes exist for a reason.

 

Mayweather couldnt beat an egg without his "help"

 

Too much of a size disadvantage and the money is not a huge motivation Because Floyd can get similar fighting YouTubers. Also, it's not like Mayweather forgot defense, and if there is a weight clause for Canelo to drop weight and rehydration clause, he'd be at a disadvantage. With a serious training camp where Floyd focuses on movement, defense, and counters, he'd still give Canelo fits and beat him. It's easier to hit bigger, taller men, then a smaller man looking to make you miss.

 

I wish he would just go away He just about decimated boxing as a sport single handidly. Boxing is on a par with the WWE now or perhaps even LESS believable. Some people still believe Mayweather KO'd The Big Show ROFL
