Most would agree Ali did beat him for 2 out of 3.

But with Norton I think the slim majority would say Norton won 2 out of 3.

I had Ali winning the third one in a close bout. I had it coming down to the 15th which Norton gave away.

I've noticed that it's been claimed that people who saw the fight in person live ringside said that Ali deserved the win ... Dunno if there's any truth to that ... But Ali-Norton 3 is definitely a close fight

I am part of the slim majority then. Most that I know of say he won 3 as well as 2, and many even believe Ali won 2.

Prime Ali ( 1967/68): Wide UD or stoppage over Norton.

    When they actually fought ?

Ali narrowly won the second fight.

He lost the first and, despite the judges scorecards, the third.

    IMO, Norton won the trilogy.

Muhammad and Ken would split the final three rounds between them.

8 - 4 may read like a walk in the park but not when a lot of the rounds are close, which they would be in this scenario.

Ken's on record more than once as saying that he admired Muhammad's refusal to go into the army as he was willing to give up a lot.

And just for the record,a "draft dodger" is somebody who does n't turn up for the draft. Sometimes skipping the country's border. Muhammad turned up for it.

It was a wasteful war by a warmongering president, it was none of our business. I admire Muhammad Ali for taking a stance. That nation did not appreciate us anyway. They did not attack us, maybe that president should have gone to Vietnam. We gained absolutely nothing from that war, we lost a lot of precious lives.

As far as the Norton fights are concerned Ali didn’t fight him until his 43rd professional fight that’s 18 more fight and camps than Joshua and around 12 more than fury as had, I don’t think we will be calling those the Joshua and fury peak years when they get to that fighting milestone, boxing is a hard game and wear and tear takes a toll, as it certainly had on Ali’s speed of foot and reflexes by that point, the fact that Norton could hardly and sometimes didn’t get past Ali when he was six years and 12 fights past his peak says that Ali would have won those encounters much easier IMO.

Younger legs would see Ali win pretty clearly. Potential flaws were much harder to exploit. At one stage in one of their fights Ali turned back the clock and got moving for a while and Norton made no headway at all. Older Ali couldn't keep this up but the young version could.

Ken's also on the record as having broke Clays jaw.

Of course Ken would praise him when asked about him. Ken was a perfect gentleman. He wasn't a shameless, self absorbed braggart .

But inside the ring ken tossed all that respect and admiration straight out the window. You can sugar coat it however you please, it's still is what it is

I find you calling Ali, Clay and praising Norton for being a gentleman in the same sentence funny, you understand the concept of not being a douche and being likeable yet you decide to shamelessly disrespect a legend who will be remembered by your grandchildren.
are you insecure of Alis ghost?

Tbh, I think a prime Ali would beat Norton far more convincingly than people think. Frazier is his problem imo (though I see him beating a prime Frazier as well albeit in a much closer and brutal fight).
