There are two serious problems with your prediction.

    1. Nobody ever battered Corbett into submission quickly and one sidedly, however old/green he was.

    2. Did Holyfield ever batter anybody elite into submission quickly and one sidedly?

I lean towards Sharkey being the winner, but like you I would urge caution.

To be clear, the consensus definitely seems Sharkey did the much better, but Corbett definitely seems to have been coming on stronger, so the story his second entered the ring because he was in trouble doesn't fit.

I think there's also atleast as much question, and probably more, about it being a fix as the McCoy fight.

TBF, you'd probably pick GGG over Jesus. ;)

Did you misread the question or purposefully answer it like a politician?

The problem with this is pretty obvious: Corbett would hardly be an elite boxer in Holyfield's time.

I am not clear on how I failed to answer the question?

Corbett is not going to be remotely worried by the fact that his opponent weighs 190 or 209 lbs.

He is going to be asking what skill set that fighter has!

    That is a massive assumption.

    I'm just being a snarky ***** mate.

The way you answered sounds like it was to a completely different question. As I read it, he was looking for a category or specific advantage which Holyfield would use to trouble Corbett most. You answered in away which seems like he'd asked what style Corbett would rather fight. And you didn't give context as to compared to who. Who are you referring to as being more complete than Holyfield? Fitz? Jeffries? Corbett, himself?

It was just a weird way of wording it.

Corbett hasn't impressed me half as much as Henry Tillman. Which is still probably giving him too much credit.

Here we go again! Same old nonsense about how we can't prove, that one era is superior to another. You're right, we can't... but there's a thing called "common sense". Ever heard of it?

Perhaps because Corbett never actually faced anyone who would make it past the prelims today. You can't compare those stumpy stringbeans and neophytes to today's specimens and that is what is happening in a head to head match.

I will give Jeffires and Corbett all the credit they deserve for being pioneers and hard men. But, please....

Who did Jesus ever beat that would give him a chance against Golovkin? Some merchants, money lenders and a cab driver? :D

The serious problem with your post is
1.How many men of 215lbs 6'2" did Corbett face?
    2. How many heavyweights, as we know the term, did he fight?
    3.Holyfield stopped
    Mutti 192lbs 3rds
    Davis 186lbs 4rds
    Shelby 184lbs 3rds
    Parkey187 lbs 3rds
    Qawi190lbs 4rds
    Tillis 210lbs 5rds
    Rodrigues 221lbs 2 rds
    McDonaugh 212lbs 4rds
    Douglas 246lbs 3 rds
    Czyz 211lbs 5rds
    Tyson 218lbs 3 rds dsq
Third time of asking what are Corbett's best wins?
Which prime man of 200lbs did he beat?
Corbett is the only heavyweight champion to lose his crown after being one punch ko'd by a middleweight.
Holyfield is proven to be able to knockdown modern heavyweights with exceptional chins such as Mercer and Bowe, and hit hard enough ,and often enough to beat up guys like Tyson.Corbett would not make a credible sparring partner for Tyson.
