Yeah as dragon says, it doesn’t matter. Everyone knows that these women’s world title fights are dead cheap to make, so nobody is making Whyte or Chisora money. Plus the positive PR and mainstream media coverage a PPV headlined by a women’s fight will make will more than justify any low sales figures.
Hearn is taking major liberties now, its bad enough sticking on PPV fights (that are not really PPV fights) with a crap undercard. But now he is openly saying that there is no PPV fight just a mass of mediocre fights sandwiched together and we will sell that as PPV worthy. Still in lockdown, some people are really struggling and they are still wanting to charge people PPV monies to watch a list of bang average fighters.. Sky also need to be pulled now, they have a say if they want to broadcast these cards as if they are willing to rob British boxing fans quite openly then a real boycott is now in order.
Thing that is annoying here. This could become a card I much more interested in than his standard PPVs. But will be a massive con
What the hell am I paying a Sky Sports subscription for ?? Football is mostly shite without crowds, SSN and the NBA has been ruined by BLM and other woke propaganda and now Saturday Night Fight cards are going to be PPV. Think it's time to seriously consider cancelling.
Good point, I hadn’t thought of it like this. Wonder if there’s any chance this will be cheaper or if it’ll still be £20.
They are repeated often on sky sports a weeks later. Sometimes on sky sports MIX (the free one) Die ppv die.
Can't see the football crowd/casuals paying for it without a 'PPV name' on the card. It'd be more logical to partition it as two shows on regular sky, that people are already paying for, and use it as a platform to hype some other name and get them more into the public consciousness while people are at home. Ad revenue alone should be enough
