Good post mate, however I do think Usyk is a soft puncher against true heavyweights

Very difficult to judge him cos A. looks he is out of his prime, sadly.
    B. CW division top fights he had were with guys in their prime, now these his opponents too are older, more used, with longer mileage, some from them had injuries, surgeries etc.
For example 30 y.o Glowacki definitely was more mobile than Glowacki in fight vs Briedis.
30-33 y.o Briedis was in prime, now not at all looks that he is in his prime. I think he is over the hill a bit.
    C. Usyk at CW was most mobile and fastest boxer in division, plus there ammy superstar's experience, therefore he used this.
The same Briedis he was capable to defeat exactly thanks to difference in ammy boxing level
    This content is protected
them and Usyk then was a bit more agile and a bit more fast. also jab he does have despite weaker, still more precise and productive ( number of possible jabs throwed per timeframe ) than Briedis.
Murat was with lesser overall boxing exp than Usyk and too, slower than he.
Therefore he had won by UD and get Ali trophy.
Usyk is smart, very smart and researches in depth opponent's weak points and his own advantage vs each opponent.
This was reason why he was capable to become Undisputed, get Ali trophy and The Ring belt at CW.

Some CW top boxers does hit not less hard than plenty of HW slobs.
Dorticos definitely hits harder than Usyk. Briedis if in good shape, too. Gassiev too, no doubts. maybe even Glowacki too.

Usyk a lot is depending from speed and movement also to get power, not only evade punches.
Now he is slower........than was in WBSS.

Usyk ofc might use combos and multiple power punches in row and still get stoppage wins at HW.
Depends who he will fight, shape Usyk will have and an opponent. To catch someone with effective counter he still is capable and then deep KO will be come in.

If about 1 single punch power, ofc he is not capable to finish CW Briedis or Dorticos, not alone some 250 lber with low fat with 1 single punch.
He isn't Povetkin but he might use combos and accumulated effect.

Dorticos had lost vs Gassiev just because he get liver punch and Gassiev capitalised effect when landed on him after this a lot.
For sure Gassiev and Dorticos does have higher 1 punch power than Usyk.
It didn't helped for Dorticos vs Briedis, he did with him absolutely nothing. With, I will be sharp: out of prime Briedis version.

Per se, Usyk still doesn't have true point fighter's mentality like amateur boxers. He is willing to fight but he is also pragmatic guy.

Sadly Usyk is not 30 y.o old.
Actually bad thing that a lot good fighters aren't young today.
I might be happy if these top CW boxers now all were with their experience but like 30......max 33.

    Not excellent analysis.
The jab is tool for Usyk he used to maintain for him comfortable distance vs opponents.
Ofc easily visible jabs also helps to get scoring on cards in ammy or pros.
like jab was tool for him to mainain enough distance to use his legs vs opponents for other stuff.
Usyk isn't close fights fighter or clincher per se and therefore ammy exp with jabbing helps for him to prevent to the some extent this medium close or close distance to happen.

To land counters Usyk ofc might be more happy if opponent is slower than he.

Usyk although it will be closer than expected. He’s too skilled and mobile. Plus his punches have more pop at cruiser. I voted Usyk decision but a KO is definitely possible. I was a Qawi fan back in the day at least before he stepped up to fight much bigger guys. What was he 5’7”? Tough dude and fun to watch.

Everyone loves Usyk, I get It - I do to. But there's no reason to pretend this is an easy fight for him.

Everybody knows that Usyk's hardest style are pressure fighters, who're shorter than him, who are bullish and strong, with good head-movement. Literally Qawi summarised. Then obviously Qawi has great feet of his own, one of the best jabs ever at crusier, and some wicked combinations to the body. Obviously Qawi never faced a smooth, slippery, southpaw Cossack, but he did face a couple elite boxer-punchers and he tended to do well. He beat the **** outta Eddie Davis, while drunk and past prime, he acquitted himself nicely vs, and almost beat, the best crusierweight of all-time. And he still had spots of success vs Spinks. I don't think Usyk is better than Spinks or Holyfield, but it's proven Qawi wasn't either. Usyk, I suppose, could potentially mix and match the things that Spinks and Holy used to beat Qawi, but I don't think he's adept enough at those categories. He could box up on his toes, but I don't think his right hand was as cultured and varied as Spinks' left. He certainly can't put combos together like Holyfield could, and he isn't as strong.

The long and short of it, is that Qawi never fought somebody like Usyk, whereas Usyk has fought a couple guys like Qawi. We know Qawi is in the mold of those who troubled Usyk, and we know he'd be the best fighter Usyk has ever fought. It's absolutely not inconceivable that Usyk - or Qawi - win this, but it's inconceivable that they have an easy time while doing so.

Wouldn't be easy but there's only one winner. I wouldn't bet against Usyk against anyone in cruiser history. He's the GOAT
