On a side not Roland Lastsrza was a very good fighter in his day. He had great defensive skills, fought actively and gave Rocky some good fights. He might have been a good cruiser in later periods

Mendoza had a point, but he didn't know when to let go of the matter. There comes a time when you've laid out a case and it's a good case ... and leave it at that. I'm stil not exactly sure where Mendoza wanted to go with it.

Presumably not out the door, but the odds are stacked against you in those circumstances and whether you're right or wrong is never going to be the deciding factor.

La Starza would annihilate pretender Usyk. It would be bad

Yeah La Starza losing to well known boxing stars with such outstanding fight records as Julio Mederos 21 wins 19 losses, Rocky Jones 15 wins 14 losses Norkus 22 wins 19 losses, damn Usyk would be quaking in his boots i'm sure.

LaStarza was the #1 rated heavyweight contender, so we have to take him very seriously on that alone.

However he was a flash in the pan, and perhaps one of the weaker fighters to hold that distinction.

Usky should be favored at this stage.

Anyone here confident that Lastarza beats Gassiev 6'3.5" 200lbs plus, or Breidis 6'1" 200lbs?

No. I'm confident of the opposite, in fact.

Let him fight more often, Usyk in the 50s goes like 89 - 0 .....

A shame, yet another quality poster banned. I hope it was not because of this thread

No, it was not because of this thread.

The last straw was posting a complaint about a poster being temporarily banned in Dempsey1234's Memorium thread.

But in fact it's been coming for a number of years. Whatever else can be said, it can't be said that he wasn't warned.

I'm interested though, "yet another quality poster banned", who do you have in mind when you say that?
