I like it, if Bivol beats him, that's a quality win. Craig has been on a hell of a run lately and I think he's earned it. Now does he stand a chance? Aside from a tiny puncher's chance.... probably not, but he deserves a decent pay day or being the UK's best LHW not named Callum Johnson or Joshua Buatsi.
Nah, Craig hasn't gotten the steps up required for a title fight, this is very reminiscent of Yarde. I wish he'd get a European title shot first at the very least then take a title shot. This is a mismatch.
He should fight Robin Krasniqi who's the WBA interim champ and also IBO belt holder, hell even a Bolotniks or Nadjib Mohammedi fight. Follow it up with Badou Jack or Zurdo Ramirez and he's got a good year ahead of him.
I’d take any, probably other than Mohammedi. Especially Jack, if Bivol is looking for a draw on his record. Just kidding. I think he wins via decision. Split, of course. I’d even take a Pascal rematch.
I don't think this is a good fight. But it's probably good for Bivol to finally get another KO win instead of a wide UD.
Bivol will have been out like 19 months or something if this fights comes off in April and his last five fights he's beaten Pascal, Joe Smith, Sullivan Barrera, Chilemba and Lenin Castillo and only the later would be considered a weak link. Richards is a decent fighter who has improved and is on good run and he's probably about the same level as Castillo and I just wanna see Bivol back in the ring because I've been suffering from Bivol withdrawal for a while now.
