The UK Govt plus all the devolved administrations have mismanaged and continue to mismanage the Covid pandemic since day one hence the 116,000 death toll and rising.

Until there is a total ban on overseas travel with ALL arrivals having to pay the £1,750 for 10 day quarantine and pass the covid test, then the variants of covid will result in lockdown, on to the higher tier system, progression downwards, regression upwards then lockdown again and on it goes.

This time next year Rodders we will be in Tier 9

Sounds like it's hardly Carl's worst hand injury. Hopefully will get rescheduled and take place before the end of Spring.

Welcome back Jurgen. We were in the middle of discussing something when we fell victim to bans. So did lots of other posters on the Brit forum. Shame. While we were gone, Warrington got beat, have you any thoughts on that?

Convinced loads of fights are getting cancelled as the cash isn't there now without crowds, adverts, beers etc we might finally starting to see the real market value,

We certainly know who got us banned mate without any doubt - nobody likes a snake.

Thought Josh looked totally flat from when he started walking forwards into the ring and it was clear from early on in the fight that something was badly wrong when he fought at Joe Joyce pace.

Never thought Josh would become World Champion and he really surprised me against Selby and Frampton with two very good performances with high output. There was a also a serious dip in output and success in the Galahad fight before his extended break.

The long time out of the ring did not help but it could be that those 2 fights against Selby and Frampton may have permanently reduced his tank capacity. I know he is 30 year old but he looked like a 38 year old in there.

Good to see you back mate.

Very fair post of that fight I think, a lot of people blaming the opponent he was matched with need to look at Josh, he was very clearly off the pace. Any top experienced fighter makes Lara look like the novice he is, you don’t go toe to toe with someone who can bang.

Agree with this -- good to see Josh going for the rematch and I expect him to win this time

The problem with Josh is that he doesn't do anything exceptional. He just does a LOT of ordinary stuff, at a very high workrate. The problem with that is that for this to work he needs to be 100% physically fit, and totally mentally totally fired up EVeRY time he fights. The slightest slippage and he's gone. That's a big ask , of both his body and his mind, particularly as he gets up the years. I fear Josh may have come to the end of his career rope, and the Lara fight might be not just an off night, sadly.

Also he may be a tad overrated.
Remember he was pretty uninspired in a lot of his early fights too, and he almost slipped up against Kiko!
