Ok, Lopez was the aggressor, no doubt. I'm of the opinion that if fighter A throws more than fighter B, but lands at the same rate, I give fighter A the round. I'm not impressed with a guy that has good defense, but doesn't throw. That was the case in the fight. This isn't the good ol days when Willie Pepp won a round never even throwing a punch. LOL Lona fought a terrible offensive fight for 6 rounds. Are you telling me diffrent?
Maybe Loma should have thought about the fact that he had no rematch clause in place when he started crying about the fight being fixed
Didn't put the clause in AND cried in defeat about the fight being fixed. Can't blame Lopez for not wanting to just hand him what he wants on a silver platter
Yeah, but still pretty good. Again, I can't give a fight to a guy that didn't throw a meaningful punch until halfway through the 7th round. I don't care how much he made the other guy miss. Plain and simple, Lopez should give Loma a rematch. If he beats Loma again, guys need to STFU.
Lopez SHOULD give a rematch but again, Loma is basically trying to claim the first fight didn't count because of his baseless theory the fight was fixed. If lopez isn't obligated to give him an immediate rematch why would he when he could probably make more fighting Ryan Garcia first?
You really think that he might get more money if he fought Garcia not Loma next? Just because U.S boxer? Automatically will bring more money? Fans thinking. Garcia now does not have any major title belt, his best win is vs Campbell who never had any major world title belt. Both of them are less well known than Loma. Yeah, Garcia is with heavy PR for U.S market. DLH and Garcia might ask for fight vs Lopez more than Loma might ask now. Because purse is split, in no way Lopez might get higher split percentage vs Garcia than vs Loma. Because Garcia is new product to sell and undefeated. Good for marketing despite yet no notable fights under belt.
Unfortunately for your agenda , Garcia and Golden boy 100 % bring more money to the table than Loma Not agenda driven but facts Loma is a fantastic boxer but can you honestly say he has captured the general publics imagination? If so he would be a PPV fighter esp as Arum is hardly stocked up with them Garcia weather you like him or not, will bring bums on seats and viewers And that's where the money comes from
Cool and therefore you think that DLH and Garcie might agree to fight with Lopez for lesser purse % than Loma? Pretty opposite, DLH and Garcia will demand more money than Lopez and arum might agree with. General public where? In forums? In forums pro boxing is for U.S guys. bums on seats during pandemic, for sure. viewers? Maybe in U.S. pretty well if with him good sales might be achieved. U.S market is more for U.S boxers. This is cool.
Yea it would be more money doesn't matter who's better or who has beaten more belt holders..Ryan garcia has a huge american and mexican following and just put forth a very exciting performance that will attract even more fans. Loma lost his belts to a 22 year old and then cried about it and never really drew that many fans in the first place
Boxers appear to go where the money is more than ever these days esp when there is not even a belt to offer Loma can offer neither the biggest money for Garcia or a belt Garcia is appealing to a different demographic than Hardcore Boxers like Loma Hearn only just about broke even on him with a PPV How can you think the term general public relates to forums, its quite obviously aimed at people that watch boxing casually if ever Bums on seats is a possibility or have you not noticed that dependant on location some fights in the US have crowds? And if the fight is held in America then the PPV dollar from America is the one they will be most reliant on
Ryan Garcia has talked too much since he's beaten Campbell. One day he talks about fighting Pacquiao and another day he talks about knocking out Loma. This kid is going to get beaten soon. Mark my words.
