The Watson bit was touching, absolute class from Watson. The stories of him growing up were interesting although nothing new, the rest of it just feels like drivel, awkward drivel at times, Morgan trying to get him to speak about his divorce and Eubank refusing to answer properly whilst contradicting himself in the process.
Disappointing really- as others have mentioned the Watson scenes were touching and the only time where the ‘persona’ was breached. The rest was awkward deflection, Bull**** and bluster.
His answer to being questioned about whether he cheated on his wife was such BS. “I always went home to my wife”. So, you did cheat on her then...
I watched it, fascinating character is Eubank. Obviously he is odd but a fighter through and through. Morgan bit of a wank of course but he knows what he's doing. Watson being there was moving, he showed genuine class.
Back in December 2016 I went to a funeral near Kensington and the wake was held in a pub nearby. Piers Morgan turned up and I needed a wee, he was propped up at the bar with a mate drinking doombar, I said excuse me so I could get to the toilet and he completely ignored me so I walked through him, he made some big deal about being pushed over but he asked for it. he’s lucky I didn’t park him up!
The narcissism displayed by Eubank during that part was ridiculous. He didn't deny cheating, said he was a great husband and then said he still doesn't know why she left him. Great fighter but an absolute grade a moron, I'm not going to cut him any slack for being upset about Watson because any human with a heart would feel the same in his shoes. His inability to acknowledge his wrongdoings and cowardly way of avoiding admitting to them defies his bravery in the ring. A great boxer, a great warrior, an arrogant C U Next Tuesday of a man, no amount of elocution lessons can cover that up.
All this did was bring back the Michael Watson incident back into the publics mind So brand new dangers of boxing association So we will see a few weeks of very early stoppages by referees
