USYK Should be FIGHTING PARKER - NOT JOYCE

    Well - at least the WBO belt is being cut loose - and Parker will definitely chase that belt.

    Joe Joyce's win over Dubois was a magnificent performance. Glad to see him rewarded with a world title shot (if that's what's happening - I haven't read back through the thread).

    Joseph Parker needs to keep winning & to build. Putting him in with Usyk right now just results in a loss. I think he's got a clear pathway laid out in front of him - Junior Fa next weekend (huge Kiwi domestic fight), then Chisora in the UK if he wins & then perhaps the winner of the Dillian Whyte v Alexander Povetkin rematch after that (particularly if the winner is Whyte).

    That's three, big, winnable fights. To be contrasted with a down-the-toilet loss. I know which path I'd be taking.

    Parker is well placed I reckon but let's not put the cart before the horse.

    Man, nothing satisfies some of you guys. The next fight is to determine who fights for the straps. Usyk should be fighting AJ but he stepped aside. This is a good fight against a big guy. Joyce has earned the shot and it’s a better fight. Usyk destroys Parker.

    Parker is a good fighter but he didn't have any significant victory, I think he lost his chances with defeats against Joshua and Whyte, Joyce beat Dubois and that opened the door for him to fight for the top, Usyk vs Joyce makes more sense...

    Usyk, Joyce and Parker are all absolute scholars and gents of the highest order and a credit to the sport. On the English Country Gentleman Scale of Gentility and Geniality they all score a maximum 10.

    Here's how it should play out

    AJ should man up and accommodate his mandatory Usyk who has been his mandatory for 1000 moons

    Joyce and Parker could duke it out with each other for the right to face Usyk after he has has annexed all AJ's belts from him

    And Fury should take a tune up against a ham-and-egger like The Tuscaloser to shake off the ring rust before making the daunting step back up to CW Level to face Usyk for all the marbles

    I agree that Parker doesn't deserve a shot, but Fa is surely top 100, even top 50, he even has wins over a few people in the top 100.

    I have just looked again at Junio Fa's record and I cant see a win over anyone in the top 100.

    A 45 year old Dominic Guinn with 12 losses when he faced Fa, is at a pinch his best win? But no way that version of Guinn was in the worlds top 100 when he faced Fa.

    I just looked, yeah, Devin Vargas is the only guy I would put in top 100. Fa legitimately shouldn't even be top 50, Boxrec has became a disgrace, shilling for protected prospects.
