I thought they got the purses at a set $ and then a percentage of PPV? Not sure how it comes out at purses at $5m but both guaranteed at least $25m + PPV. Think there’s something wrong there somewhere.

They are given an official purse and the rest is made up in extra's from TV rights, PPV, sponsorship and ticket sales. In this case both fighters were guaranteed a minimum of $25 million.

The ticket sales alone were $17million (biggest gate ever for a heavyweight fight)

The PPV sales grossed over 800,000 buys ($60 million)

Then there were a further £1.2 million UK PPV buys ($33 million), global television and media rights and sponsorship.

Not sure why @Tyistall gets so triggered by these widely reported verified figures.

Fury-Wilder 2 did more at the gate than any of AJ's Wembley shows.

When you're charging £40 for a ticket, it's easy to fill up a stadium full of Matchroom casuals.

Sounds kind of gay, and I don't swing that way, sorry. Maybe go for Tyson Fury? He kisses men in the ring and eats wild boars testicles. Try for him

Fury was weight-drained, overtrained, overconfident and had the misfortune to suffer two bad cuts against a game, undefeated contender, while still recovering from morbid obesity and a 30 month coke binge. And despite all this, he still won a comfortable points decision. The Fury who smashed Wilder: fully fit and motivated, was a different animal altogether.

Fury could have easily KO'd Pianeta at any time: this is a guy who was sparked out the year before by a washed up Kingpin Johnson. Fury wanted rounds and more importantly, to lull Wilder and his handlers into a false sense of security. As usual, Fury fooled almost everyone.

    Fury's best wins:

    W. Klitschko in Germany (ATG, 23 heavyweight title defences)
Wilder in America (10 heavyweight title defences)
Cunningham in America (2x cruiserweight champion)
    Chisora x2 (world title challenger)
    Wallin (contender)
    Hammer (contender)
    Kevin Johnson (world title challenger)

Bear in mind Fury faced his toughest opponents on the road: a start contrast to Femi who fought at home his entire career with the officials in Hearn's pocket, and the first time Femi stepped out of his UK sanctuary he got battered by a stubby, morbidly obese Mexican with fast hands. Fury's victory over Wlad in Germany may have been boring but it was a dominant performance (the only time Wlad ever lost a decision) while Femi went life-and-death with a 41 year old beaten champion coming off an 18 month layoff. Most of Femi's best wins have been at home against old men and he usually hasn't looked convincing doing it. Wlad and Wilder's title defences against lower level opposition didn't save them against Fury and Femi's won't either.

Fury's last real KO was against the talented but blown-up cruiserweight Cunningham so I don't see how anyone could describe Fury has a KO machine but Wilder was never going the distance after being dropped twice and battered from pillar to post. The end was neigh and we were only just over half way through the full 12 rounds, which is why the towel was thrown in. Fury has always been a backfoot boxer who utilises his jab to great effect, which isn't a style suited to getting KO's but when he's fit, motivated and 270+ pounds going forward as he was against Wilder, he can punch more than hard enough to knock a chinny heavyweight like AJ out.

Except the fact that if he came forward against Aj he'd be susceptible to quick counters and sharp combinations, things he didnt have to worry about coming forward against technically limited Wilder. But even then Wilder still caught him a couple of times in the rematch

Fury's mid-close range game is sloppy. It's clear as day, that would not suffice for the Aj fight. Wilder and Joshua are totally different. Aj has better balance than Wilder, better coordination, better footwork, he's a better mid-close range fighter, he has FAR better, quicker combinations, he can pick his shots better, he's physically stronger, he can throw better uppercuts, he has a better jab and a strong left hook. Jesus the guy even has better head movement and ring IQ and those are Ajs worst traits. All Wilder has over Aj is power, but he has power over everyone else so it doesn't matter.

Joshua lost to Ruiz mostly because Ruiz is a short guy with faster hands and better inside skills than him, eerily similar to how a 40 year old Povetkin (shorter fighter with superior inside skills) rocked Aj in round 1 and forced him to fight a smart fight for the most part.

Tyson Fury is quite literally the exact opposite of those 2 in terms of style and physical dimensions and if he tried to throw his ring IQ in the trash and press the action against Aj then that would make Ajs chances of winning skyrocket and "chinny heavyweight Joshua" would have a field day with him.

An absolute shipwreck of a post yet again. Your obsession with Fury's sexuality knows no bounds, it's almost as if you are hiding something.
