That’s why I think it will be close, but Benn isn’t on Kelly’s level for sure.

He didn't step through the ropes for my entertainment.

He stepped through the ropes for career mobility, glory (primarily in the form of social status knowing Kelly) and financial reward.

Avanesyan is world level. Kelly is max European. Benn is British level best, Chris Jenkins would beat him. So would Chris Kongo and Michael Mckinson.

 

I just looked and that's him. I can I only go by how he comes across in the videos I've seen. He's constantly shouting out.

 

Maybe some conditioning experts amongst us could clarify, but does having fast twitch fibres lead to quicker fatigue? Or is it a weight issue?

Amazing how quickly Kelly deteriorated in there because I thought he looked strong early on.

I agree. Kelly is more talented no doubt but Benn has a lot of things Kelly doesn’t.

 

Tell you what...that kelly is genuinely skilled. Bit of ashame that he doesnt seem to have whats needed to go with it...cause he,d go far if he did. Maybe a weight issue or maybe just doesnt have whats needed.

Should have went on the assault earlier tonight...when he realised david was catching up with him.

 

Kelly has some good domestic fights in him, but he's found his level. Hopefully he will be a bit more humble in the future.

Well it werent surely. Your meant to get your man in the most competitive fight that he wins surely?

 

Possibly. I am not one of these who call people all sorts for quitting and early ish stoppages. I do however feel we are in danger of the tide turning too much and too many fighters and fans missing out on great fights/comebacks as it seems it may be going slightly too far.

Not saying this was too far, as you say his legs were gone but how long was left in round? How many fights have been turned around after someone being wobbled like that. Someone gets a second wind and turns it or clips someone with a single shot.

I’m a fan of Kelly now. Looked very good in the early rounds and less flashy bollocks. I’d love to see a rematch. Very good fight.
